Why be low on Harry Reid? He is doing important work for the country. I am so grateful to him.

READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

Your low rating of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is a bit of a lowball itself.  While he may lack the stature and reputation of our Mike Mansfield back in the 1960s, he is a very skillful legislative technician.  You are correct that he faces a very difficult task, but that does not mean he is not up to the job.  Reid and the other Democratic Senators who support his efforts recognize that America desperately needs real health care reform and we need it now.  If the task seems difficult, don’t blame him and his colleagues.  Place the blame precisely where it belongs on the shoulders of the do-nothing, know-nothing Republicans who are a greater threat to American security than their soul brothers in fanaticism the Taliban.
