Kalispell city manager to take job in Rhode Island

Couple questions for Mayor Fisher.  How has Howington “brought staff together?”  And what were the tough decisions that she made?

From the employees’ perspective, she divided the staff, created an environment of fear, and is now leaving a mess for another to clean up.

As far as tough financial decisions, please give an example. Putting the rent money in a coffee can and saying you saved money is laughable.

As for Gabriel’s praise of Howington…please be specific in what good Howington has accomplished. Visit with employees and you will find we have a very different picture. Her record is dismal. The environment is dismal. I was prepared to leave the city until I heard the wonderful news of Howington’s departure.  Let’s hope the council doesn’t make this mistake again.

Picture the city as a china shop….Howington was a bull.  We cannot stand to have a new bull run in our china shop every couple of years.  Rather than looking for a new city manager, lets craft a plan to change the city management and eliminate the duplication, waste and inefficiency of a mayor/manager/council type of government.  It’s NOT working, no matter how many time you people slap each other on the back and say “good job!”
