I am tickled to hear that the swim teams are thriving!  As a member of the 1975 State Championship swim team, I know all about how much hard work it is to compete in that sport, and how little recognition it gets.
Best of luck to our local swimmers.  I hope to see you at this upcoming meet, I have wanted for years to take my kids to a swim meet so they could perhaps become interested in competitive swimming.  I never could do this before because the schedule always seems to be a secret.  Thanks Beacon for slipping in mention of when and where it is.  I’ll be there!
Braves and Bravettes, your team homepage is years old.  How do you allow that?  Glacier, where is your page?

Well my kids finally got to see a swim meet!  Kind of.  We discovered that the Summit isn’t exactly a venue for spectator sports.  Bummer.  We stood in the crowd on the tiny balcony over the pool and watched the first few relay races and called it good.  Definitely saw some talent there, good job, kids!  Thanks again to the Beacon for publishing an article on the sport.
