Comments on: Idaho Commission Resolves to Fight Wolf Ruling

Afew choice words for the judge. Thank You Sir! you’ve now heaped on the last straw that broke our backs and will witness how the Montana and Idaho sportsmen will backlash against your order and slaughter all wolves that may happen to come into our paths. We tried it your way judge and watched our game herds get slaughtered by wolves we didn’t want in the first place. Now, we’ll do it our way and the good folks that started all this mess will be appalled at the upcoming wolf mortality.Again, thanks alot for making this a no brainer for us.

Well said 10 bears. Time for the sportsman of WY, MT and ID to take matters into our own hands. I don’t think I need to explain to you how that will be done. Let the thinning begin !!!!!

Send the non-native, imported Canadian wolves back to Canada.
By Kalispell Native on 08-17-10
fcb: Aren’t the wolves gonna need a long-form birth certificate and a passport?

It is time the states take back their jurisdiction.

@moose: Yes, occasionally miracles do happen.
By Kalispell Native on 08-18-10
mooseberry, the birther, doesn’t even recognize when he’s being mocked.
ROFLMAO!
By JB on 08-21-10
@moose - it’s OK, anybody who doesn’t totally agree with KN is a “birther”, rightwingnut, and hates America. He is stuck too far into the left-right paradigm to hear that popping sound.
By reborn on 08-21-10
moose and all - you will be prosecuted if you illegally kill an endangered species. Do you seriously think officials can’t find out who you are just because you use an alias on a comment page? Get real.

Reborn…follow me around this fall while I Bow hunt Elk, plink gophers, Grouse hunt, rifle hunt deer and elk and again next spring while I bear hunt. In other words, it’s a big woods out there friend. Last I knew it was still a free country and we’re still free to express our opinions. But then , maybe you’d want it some othewr way?You may as well get aquainted with the idea that wolves are going to remain an endangered species in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. We just don’t want them and WE are in the majority.
By reborn on 08-22-10
10 bears - the woods aren’t as big as you think. You are obviously not the majority as the Endangered Species Act was passed and has been upheld for three decades now. The reason this is the case is that the majority of Americans believe that “these species of fish, wildlife, and plants are of aesthetic, ecological, educational, historical, recreational, and scientific value to the Nation and its people”
You and your kind are not in the majority. You just have a tendency to be louder, more reactionary and less intelligent than most of us - which is why people like you always get caught when they do something illegal.

Gotta keep on hunting the thick stuff, wolves can’t bully around there.
By hammer on 08-23-10
Reborn, you are out of touch. You obviously don’t spend enough time out in the woods. Montanans hunt and hunt for food. There are no better sources for FACTS than hunters about wolves. NOT some arrogant guy who wants to try to prove he’s smarter than everyone else.
By skyranch on 08-23-10
If you want to hunt woves the law will allow you a quota WHEN Wyoming gets a reasonable wolf plan together. Then ALL the states in the west will be allowed a wolf quota. (Minnesota and Michigan like their wolves) If you go out there and poach the numbers down, there will never be a legal season on wolves. Stop foaming at the mouth and work to make it happen. Your rage makes me wonder if some people should be allowed to hunt at all.

Does the term “experimental population” ring any bells with anyone? Thats the ruse that was used to get them wolves out of Canada and into the US. (Not counting the already established packs in NW Montana) Well the experiment failed from a hunting standpoint, but was a GREAT success for the anti’s. Doesnt matter that we have WAY more wolves then what were agreed upon, or that they have moved out way past the original “wolf zones”...we foolishly accepted this “experimental population” and now we are paying the price. If you are an elk hunter, I hope you enjoyed the good old days, because I don’;t think we will ever see huntable populations of ungulates (like we HUNTERS worked so hard to bring back over the last 100 years or so) again, at least not in my lifetime…SSS

reborn…the “We” in my coment was used in terms of Montanans. and since you want to be insulting…your kind needs put on the endangered species list because your mouths are bigger than your a…. Get a grip! It’s possible that one of those wolves you admire so much might just someday tear the guts out of your pooch or your cat or Lord forbid, something even closer to your heart.
You see, we hunters which are THE true conservationists, love animals more than we can possibly explain. It’s just that we also hunt some of them sometimes just as your and my ancestors did. Since you call yourself Reborn..an assumption is made that your following Christ now…if so, read the story of Esau in the old testament. God didn’t frown on him for being a hunter but upheld his birthright and he was given a blessing by his father who also favored him over his brother Jacob.
Wolves have a place but in Montana, they no longer have a place as they serve no usefull purpose other than to cause fights like this. This isn’t a fight that will be won with words…it’s one that in days past was solved by “men of the land” and we’ll see it again soon.
No wolves = nothing to fight over.

10 Bears is obviously not a biology scholar or he would see the useful purpose of wolves and any natural predator in keeping the herds moving to prevent degradation of the landscape by overbrowsing by ungulates. They also weed out the sick, which human hunters never target.
By 10 bears on 08-26-10
skyranch…yep your right not any kind of scholar but with lot’s of common sense. Set in your easy chair and spout off your scholarly verbage and I’ll be out there in the woods seeing things as they really are. Science is usually manipulated by whatever point is put forward to proove.Sick Elk die. we have lots of predators already. Cats do a wonderful job. Herd reductions for overgrazing are easily taken care of by allowing Cow tags for humans who find them very tastey and easier on the wallet than buying Beef at the supermarket.
As for my credentials skyranch….I’ll show you thousands of hours in the woods under all kinds of conditions observing wildlife under all conditions, spring, summer, fall, & winter.. 1000’s more hours on the lakes and rivers. Even more hours spent reading wildlife books and watching wildlife documentaries.
What’s your credentials?
By Craig moore on 08-26-10
PBS has shown the Dick Proenneke Alaska series many times. He didn’t care much for wolves killing a moose for sport and leaving the carcass.
By skyranch on 08-26-10
10 bears, I guess my credentials are ‘bout the same as yours.I have seen elk with visible tumors. Are those the kind of elk you would use your tag for?
