Comments on: Idaho, Montana Seek OK to Hunt ‘Endangered’ Wolves
By JCW on 08-31-10
The number of wolves that the government said that the population should reach in order to be considered “recovered” is 300.
The current population is 1700. This is over 5x what is considered “recovered”.
It’s time to “thin the #‘s down” to a manageable level.

Contrary to popular opinion wolf populations are under constant threat. If it is not the direct threat of hunters it is the threat of development that is forcing them into smaller and smaller pockets of existence which forces them into human habitat and thus conflict with human interest. Give these animals back some of their land and this will gradually ease any problems ranchers may be having with wolves. As to those who wish to hunt simply for trophies - get a life.
