By sharpshoot'in tony on 09-05-08

Isn’t that the one guy who was supposed to open that donut shop in kalispell, but it was going to cost too much, so he never did anything about it?? Why would I want to listen about that crap?

You’re right Roark and Sharpshoot’in Tony—you guys should DEFINITELY vote for Bob Bahr—he’s your guy. Go for it! Yeah Bahr!

By Roark on 09-06-08

John you silly goose, you spelled Bahr incorrectly! It’s B-a-r-r. It’s good to see we have your support though, even though you can’t spell his name correctly.

Biden’s one of the folks who think we can tax our way to prosperity.

By John on 09-06-08

Are you one of those Republicans that believe we can borrow our way to prosperity?

By Roark on 09-06-08

The thing I admire most about Biden is his socialistic agenda and utter disregard of the US Constitution with all of its silly freedoms its citizenry. Any man who fights to turn a free country into a socialized one is a hero in my book!

No, I’m like John MCain , I believe we have to quit wasting our money, I believe if we raise taxes on businesses, we’re not going to help with employment.  I know we have to get out of Iraq, but with victory and carefully - we don’t want another Viet Nam.  and - Obama was right - we should never have gone there.  But this is NOW.  We don’t want to tax families and further decrease our standard of living, and I know that gov’t does not produce a profit, and never has.  The world is waiting to see if we elect a proven leader, and we had better do it, or there’s going to be some really hard times.

By John on 09-06-08

So I guess you’d be in favor of not borrowing billions of dollars from China to spend on no-bid contracts in Iraq while the Iraq government has a $78 billion surplus?

Republicans have been the worst in history for running up deficits and spending money that we don’t have. If you want financial responsibility, then the Republicans are not your party. That’s simply a fact of history.

By Roark on 09-06-08

If you value liberty and the principles of freedom written in the US Constitution then do NOT vote for either Obama or McCain, because they cannot and will not deliver it, let alone defend it.

Sadly, we may all have to suffer the gov’t the obamatons deserve.

Not so sad if you use history as your guide: The US economy as measured by GDP has grown significantly faster under democratic presidents than republican. Middle income wage growth has also grown much-much faster under democratic presidents than republican. These facts are based on detailed studies of the US economy from WWII to present. Fact is - if history is our guide—the middle class will make more money if Obama is elected and the US economy will grow faster. Doesn’t seem like much sad suffering to me.

I live by the High School.  Why didn’t they have the “town meeting” at the new High School?  Lots of open area for parking etc.  Instead I have lots of shiny cars with people all dressed up parking all over the neighborhood. and the doors were supposed to open at 12:30 and it is 12:50 and people are standing in line cause they have not opened yet.  All the police wandering around.  Whatta waste of taxpayers money. The local agencies should charge the campaign for the salaries of all the people who are forced to work this gig.

I look forward, with all due gloom and foreboding to say “I told you so”.  Then we can all have a beer and try to forget it.
