Thanks for the sarcasm Hal- You can go back to Miami now.

I agree that Hal can go on back to where he came from, but…. Don’t we all wish we could have the same treatment as a teacher, and have their tenure clause in our jobs? Work hard for 3 years, then sit on you behind and milk the system until they can finally find a reason to get rid of you. Some of the best teachers I had in school were the young, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year teachers. Some of the worst I had, and the same goes for my children some 20 years later, were the teachers who had been there too long.We will have good teachers when we hold them accountable for learning progress, and not baby-sittingskills, and also make the compensation attractive enough to attract better teachers / people.

Obviously Hal is one of the old timers collecting a paycheck until it is his turn to retire. Again…go back to Florida Hal, and take your family members with you if they have the same stupid outlook that you have.
Time to cull the herd…..the same thing happened in my place of employment when things got tough a couple of years ago. We got rid of the weak links….which included a lot of the “old timers” that were just coasting until retirement. Now we have a younger, leaner, harder working, more efficient workforce and are financially in a better position than we were before the recession started.
