We do have ALL of our patients register with the state. We provide for them while card is in processing.
They must have current I.D. and legitimate physicians statement
Remember to everyone who has a legitimate physicians statement, the state has NO right to deny your I.D. card if
“your paperwork is filled out correctly, you have current and correct identification and you have paid the fee to the state”.
That is a direct quote from Roy Kemp director of Montanans medical marijuana program to me about 3 months ago.
The state is merely issues I.D. cards and screens the applications for caregivers.
You can not be a caregiver in Montana if you have ever been convicted of ANY felony drug offense.
Please visit our website and see who some of are legal team is, we have some of the top attorneys in the country and Montana working for and advising us.
We have NEVER had ANY problems with law enforcement.
We work with alll law enforcement.
Thank you
Michael J. Smith
Executive Director
The Healing Center Montana

Like it or not Medical Marijuana is coming. Anyone who has ever had a friend or family member that suffers with cancer will testify to its benefits. Increased appetite and pain relief are two of the major ones. We can’t be so narrow minded as to believe that this is just a bunch of hippies looking for a legal way to get high. Cannabis has had extensive medical studies done that prove that this is valid as a medicine. I think guys like this and companies like HESG, CBIS and MJNA are all pioneers in a socially taboo field and should be applauded for the help they are trying to achieve to benefit sufferers.

Access to medicinal cannabis is the right of every free man. Just because the state doesn’t like or approve of something doesn’t mean a damn thing. Rights cannot be superseded by desires. I wish the best for medicinal cannabis in the Flathead.-I just hope the useful idiots in our government will help to protect them just as any other business. It makes no difference wether you’re getting Marinol or Marijuana, the choice is the individuals.

Compassion? Nah, just old-fashioned greed:“On Dec 28, Health Services Group, Inc completed a licensing agreement with The Healing Center of Montana for purposes of operating a medical marijuana collective and distribution center. Under the terms of the licensing agreement, Health Sciences Group will operate as The Healing Center. Health Sciences Group, Inc., is exploring options of corporate growth within the Legal Medical Marijuana Industry. Health Sciences Group intends on being the first public medical marijuana company to derive actual revenues from medical marijuana operations. Although The Healing Center is non-profit, these two new locations would be for profit under a management agreement. “This is part of our strategy, acquiring existing operations as well as starting new operations. We feel that the profits in Medical Marijuana are in growing and transportation of marijuana,” states Thomas Gaffney, CEO of Health Sciences Group. In a recent report, the Obama administration issued a new policy that the federal government won’t prosecute medical marijuana if compliant with state law. Gaffney adds, “We will attempt to capitalize on the Obama Administration’s recent decision.””
So much for The Healing Center being a non-profit. It’s all about the money. Just like the Flathead land grab was a get-rich-quick scheme that left us holding the bag, so to speak, here’s the next conniver looking to make money off the people of the valley. Check out the commentary about Mike Smith on the Montana NORML website. He is not a popular guy in the communities where his Healing Centers are already open.

There are over 1000 MM store fronts in LA—sure sounds to me that it is more than MM—isn’t this is just a way to make it legal?—wonder how many will be in the Flathead 30 - 50?—you sure would think that 1 or 2 would do for the intended use.

Could I ask you doughnuteer how 1000 MM stores in LA or 50 MM stores in Kalispell would affect you?

When you have a loved who is suffering from cancer or some other condition then let me know about the legality of cannabis. So what if someone is making money from providing medicine.-the pharma. industry does it on a daily basis. So do tobacco and alcohol sales.

Marijauna is being used regardless if it’s legal or not. If we can create revenue to relieve the tax burdon on the American people, I say it’s a good plan. If it is to create a cush fund for taxes to be spend irresponsibly I am not. California would probably come out of their financial crisis pretty quick rather than a bailout earmarked bill they are asking for. I just don’t trust the government to spend it wisely.

Gee, I wonder if this “Micheal Smith” is the same guy who called several caregivers in the valley informing them that it was time to raise their prices? This , the same guy who is rumored to harass any patient who wishes to go through a different caregiver? This man does not speak for the majority opinion of Medical Marijuana /Cannabis users/caregivers. The majority of the patients using this plant for help feel that this guy is going to come in and screw it up for everybody. It wasn’t curiosity that killed the cat, it was greed. Pure and simple greed. This man comes in using Mafia like tactics and slits the throat of legitimacy of every legal user and grower in this state. His voice is not our voice.

well, his voice is the only one we are hearing- if you have something to say, call the beacon and set up an interview- as far as I’m concerned, he’s the only one who can offer it, because he’s making himself known through the media

Cannabis is an herb that has a very spiritual component to it. It’s not about “getting high” it’s about being spiritually grounded.

What are you talking about Roark?

High is a brush too wide to describe the mergence of the universal monochord and your personal frequency.
