Comments on: Montana Gun Group Says McCain Not Worthy

By Carl on 09-13-08

There is much sentiment to vote for Ron Paul, and I can agree with much of that.  But, the truth is, we have only the choice of McCain or Obama.  “Wasting” one’s vote on Ron Paul, would most likely help Obama.  In this regard, McCain is more in keeping with Ron Paul’s, stance on issues.  I’ll vote for McCain.

Sorry, but I cannot bring myself to vote for McCain, even knowing that it may help Obama to win the election.  Neither major party is worthy to me - I will be heard by voting for a third party.  It’s disappointing that Ron Paul has publicly declared that he wants off the ballot in Montana, but I think I can understand his reasons for that.

Why not vote for Chuck Baldwin?

By Carl on 09-13-08

So, 2 weeks after the election, nobody remembers that Chuck Baldwin even ran, or Ron Paul for that matter. The idea here is [hopefully] to have some effect.  if nothing else, to keep obama out of the whitehouse.

I have changed my support for President from Barr to Baldwin. Chuck Baldwin encompasses the fire of liberty better than any of the other candidates. He also understands and knows the Constitution.

First the MSSA endorses Paul then makes the endorsement for McCain, then after Paul get on the ballot again they endorse Paul. McCain is a poor choice when it comes to guns. Of the 4 candidates that have a chance of winning the white house (Obama, Mccain, Barr and Nader) Barr has the best so-called grades on guns with A+‘s from the NRA and Gunowners of America. Mccain’s highest grade is C-.

Elections are not sporting events! You are not supposed to vote for the “winner”. The person you agree with should get your vote
That is why Ron Paul will get mine.
Ron Paul will be on the ballot, he missed the deadline to remove his name
You can write in Chuck Baldwin, if he is your choice..
If you vote for McCain (and don’t agree with him on the issues), simply to defeat Obama then you have sold out your vote.

Somewhere I read that Obama “supports” gun ownership, but the article also implied “control” of guns through taxation of ammunition?  Any one hear anything like that?  Can’t remember where I came across that.
