You don’t have to have a third grade education to get why Bresnan asked for the money.  It sets them up to sell what they really are in business to sell:  CABLE TV.  ANd they are the highest priced TV anywhere.  Thats their profit center.

All the BS about internet and phone quality and price were the buzz words to get the political machine to give them the money.  Montana Co-ops have the lowest prices on basic phone service anywhere!  Compare Eureka’s 22 dollar a month to CenturyTels 33 a month for the same service!  Bresnan is at least 30 for basic phone too!  No savings from Bresnan, either.

Do the math:  phone, internet and tv from ANY firm runs from 99 to 175 a month depending on the number of channels you buy, the speed and quality of the network for the internet they sell and basic phone service.

Internet is thrown around as the shell game to make you think you might really save there, but their connection is routed over twenty or more servers instead of a fast low hop network like say Montana Sky offers.  Theirs is second to none for those needing quality… there’s a big difference people and it costs a few bucks more.  But hey, so what if your email fails a couple times a day, right?  Thanks for the two outages this year too, Mr Bresnan!  The local internet geeks were not down!

Peoples need for phone service is really low on the totum pole since everyone now has a cell phone, a land line, Skype, Magic Jack, Google phone, Instant Messaging, Text etc.

Nice smoke and mirrors Bresnan!  All the profits go right to New York City.  Thats what they are in business for.  Now the govenment is propping up them sell more expensive TV.

What a racket the stimulus package has produced.  We can’t even get roads paved and they are pumping more TV to the rural corners of the state.
