Comments on: Montana Tea Party Members Back Dismissed President
Let’s be civil.
The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail webmaster [at] flatheadbeacon.com.

It’s clear, if one look honestly at the actual conversation in-question, that Ravndal did not realize to what the other guy was alluding.  A rare few in the same situation would’ve.

His opposition is obviously just using his misfortune to attempt political gains.  Politics is shameful today, because of this tendency to take advantage of another’s misfortune.  No matter how common it is, it’s still wrong.

Kidston said:  “Everybody’s out to balance the budget, create jobs — the tea party doesn’t have the corner on that.”

While a balanced budget is nice, what the Tea Party wants which is far more important is massively decreased spending.  For Kidston to characterize the Tea Party as merely a group trying to balance the budget is deceptive downplaying.  It’s possible to have a balanced budget in even a communist regime, but that’s FAR less important than the fact that it’s oppressing the populace.

Neither the Rs nor the Ds have ever significantly decreased spending on any of the legion unconstitutional programs in the state.
