Rescued herd cared for by county, volunteers as charges pend for owner
Let’s be civil.
The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. Why is the name of the owner of these horses being withheld? Or did I miss it?

Why not when you find the owner….chain em to a large dog house with no roof and an un-lockable lock for 30 days with no food & water….an no toilet paper….an smear some bacon grease on the clothes so the bears find em???

I too think the owners’ names should be listed. The officials do know who the horses belong to and where the owner is so why don’t they plaster their names on here and give them the “credit” they are due? I know who they are…they stiffed me on some hay they got last year!  Its pathetic how malnourished and neglected the horses are.  The yearlings are the size of foals, they’ve been so malnourished! Thank goodness the landlord didn’t stand by and watch the horses die off!

Thanks to the Beacon staff for the accurate article.  I would also like to THANK all the people who have donated their time and resources to the horses.  It is heart warming to see how this community comes together when situations like this occur.

Mongo, I was aware of Tina Pickton but i was not involved with the case nor was I employed with the Sheriffs Office.  I could have mentioned many others including, Judy Space, Juanita Magranor.  I was asked a specific question regarding this incident and answered it.  Thanks for the link to petabuse.com.  I encourage everyone to visit the site.  It will be a real eye-opener for all of you.
