Granted, there is no such thing as “steady work” in these turbulent economic times, but it seems to happen even more so in Montana. When accepting a job here, there are no guarantees that even the most valued employees will be able to stay working during an economic downturn. A steady supply of cheap local labor and the quality of life will always allow local employers to hire and layoff at will - even CFAC does not pay market rates for its employees, although they are probably one of the few in Montana that pays close to it.
