From what I hear on the price of crude paid for Dakota or Montana oil per barrel….is closer to $30-
40 less a barrel. So, I wonder where the $93 price come from??

Also, today on Bloomberg News web page is a story on price of fuel in countries compared to the
wages related to gas prices. I read the various levels of wages to buy a gallon on gas….even
there is a large lie….the price compares what a gallon of PREMIUM cost to buy related to the
average wages in that country?? Another phony report…...seeing that unless you drive a mega
sports car, a large SUV, or plain don’t care….who buys premium that much. The story did mention
diesel either in buying fuel…..just premium.

If Montanans were allowed to drill in their own state, we could be on the low unemployment,
high-yield lists as well.  Let’s get going on that, politicians!

Well….it takes “rigs” to drill. Getting the big rigs is not easy, with a waiting list to rent them…add in
from a friend that lives in Malta….plenty of snooping going on with land agents….looking for a deal
on mineral rights. Also, she said that the motels are booked up with pre-drilling agents who go
over the charts that are taken using explosive & recording the sound waves that bounce off the
underground formations.
Add in the BIG BOYS…..Halliburton, Schlumberger, and a host of other facets that go into drilling
a oil well…..it takes time, an given the way ND is finding the mother load of oil wells drilled &
pumped….Montana’s time will come, only slower.

The jack up rigs are not easy to come by & the daily rental cost are pretty high. Course, with no
pipeline to drop the crude into, the cost are higher for just trucking it to a drop off header.

Hotfish:  Seems like a perfect opportunity for a manufacturer to get in on the money.  Perhaps
even create a few jobs in America (New hotels, restaurants, vehicle dealerships, campgrounds,
etc.)  If the current manufacturers can’t build rigs fast enough, time for a new guy to step in.  If I
didn’t know better, I’d think I was talking about a business boom that could take place right here
in Montana!

How about the State of Montana’s Department of Natural Resources and Conservation building their
own rigs, drilling 1000’s of State wells over 100,000’s acres on Montana’s School Trust Lands.  Then
lend some of their $Millions or Billions to sister State agencies to spend the needed money on
things like “real” wolf management or State Highway maintenance and reconstruction.  Then do like
Alaska does and give the Citizens of Montana a rebate.
