Comments on: Obama Criticizes Plum Creek-Forest Service Talks
Let’s be civil. The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail editor [at] flatheadbeacon.com. The views expressed in the comments section do not reflect those of the Beacon.

And WHY should believe Obama is correct in his critique?

Don’t worry, give him another day and he’ll “change” his opinion about THIS topic as well and will “hope” that no one notices.
Ugh.

What does he know or care about MT issues. PC and the FS will do what they want and no interloper should interfere.

Geez Bill. Couldn’t you be a little more subtle about the fact that you are a complete idiot?

Why don’t we give credit to Obama for trying to learn what Montanans care about? If he is reaching the correct conclusions, why not be pleased that Montana is sufficiently “in play” this year to justify efforts by the Democratic Pfesidential candidate to determine what issues are of interest to this traditionally red state? I say we keep educating him and try to extract from him a promise that, if he gets elected, he will settle any lawsuit against the Forest Service filed by Missoula County or someone else by choosing not to defend Rey’s action “clarifying” easements that, until recently, were not thought to allow Plum Creek access to its lands for purpose of residential development? That way the next time through the process can be transparent and subject to environmental review.
