I think its great. So what if it kicks up some muddy water….can’t be as bad as Spring runoff muddy waters.
Several areas around the US are sallvaging old logs & some near Green Bay….are monster size
logs. Some back there are humongous & were part of the logging that went on around 1900 to
rebuild Chicago after most of it burned to the ground. I have seen some of the old stumps in
Northern Michgan Upper and the ones I saw are 5-8 feet across.
The muddy water will settle in a short time….and keeps the state’s biological crew with some busy
work.
I bet a coffee table size chunk would be a real thing of beauty.
