For society to go to the humane trouble to reintroduce these animals from extinction, to
allow them to thrive in an environment which allows for just that… thrive; and then propose
inhumane eradication measures aimed solely on capturing a recovered species by
trapping them until they chew their leg off and crawl away and die, or wait for a human to
shoot them to end their suffering is not something we should be proud and party to.

Somehow, no one is going to win at the peril of these animals.

Three of my neighbors that are  alway whining  about wolves all  have a bumper stickers on there trucks that read. ’
smoke a pack’  referring to a pack   of wolves. None of them went into the field with a wolf tag this year. I suspect
that there a lot more people here that talk the talk but don’t walk it.  If the Apaches in Arizona can  get  there wolves
under control using compound bows you would think these road hunters could fill the wolf quotas.

I think this is typical “Fast”.  Those who rant the loudest and the nastiest are those who never
leave their computer.  They have no idea what the facts are, and they don’t care, they’re just
puppets who are content to follow their leader.

Good post “logical one”, for sure future generations won’t win.  That doesn’t seem to be a
concern though for the “kill and destroy” crowd.

This is a very important issue. As Gandhi said, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress
can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”

Please everyone ... take a moment and visit fwp.mt.gov and click on “public comments” to submit a
comment about this—before 5 pm on Sunday. If you don’t have time to compose a comment, here is
a template:

I am writing to express my opposition to trapping wolves. This practice is cruel and causes intense
pain and agony for the wolves, sometimes for days or weeks. I support a complete ban on the
inhumane trapping of wolves. There are numerous other ways that these creatures can be captured
or killed that will not cause them such intense pain.

For the sake of the wolves, for the reputation of Montana, and for the benefit to residents that will
come from having humane policies for its animals, I ask that you make trapping wolves illegal.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
