Comments on: Planning Board Approves North Shore Subdivision

Let’s be civil. Isn’t Gene Dziza the husband of a realtor who probably hopes (ha) to make money selling this newest blight.

Don’t worry, it will all be under water next time we have a flood.

What an incredible waist.  A dark day for all of us who didn’t show up to protest.  Keith Simon cares nothing about the valley. He is a California flipper of property.  When standing on the run “Inspiration” at Big M.  One realizes that this property is one of the reasons for the name “Inspiration”.  With it’s obvious flood potential and proximity to a waterfowl production sight, I thought there was no way this subdivision would be approved.  I am for property rights as much as anybody but whom would have ever thought this piece of flood plane had value beyond farming.  My condolences to the future home owners.

Here’s what bothers me: Dan Barz, the head of the Flathead Lakers, which came out with a litany of falsehoods about this proposal, says among other things that we need to protect the lake from development. Hey Dan, you LIVE ON THE LAKE in a house with a septic system!. Ye who lives in the glass house, my friend. This valley is full of hypocrits and I’d take a smart developer like Sean Averil or Keith Simon, who bent over backwards trying to do the right thing on their property, over the hypocrit any day. The best comment at Wednesday’s meeting came from a planning board member who said “shame on you” to the state and federal wildlife agencies, who submitted last-minute complaints about this project, but yet never lifted a finger to try to buy the land they claim to be so precious. Put your money where your mouth is or put some tape over it.

A victory for private property rights and freedom. And a much needed loss for enemies of liberty.
