If people can’t stop for a regular stop sign it’s obvious that a 4 way stop with no stop sign isn’t going to work.  As witnessed all over as I drove during lunch time.

MORONS I see them everywhere!

I was coming back from lunch when it happened. And i have to say I saw so many wonderful polite drivers helping each other out.  Everyone was acting as if there were 4 way stop signs at all the intersections, including large ones.  Very impressive

Is there any known cause for the line that dropped?

While driving in downtown Kalispell a few weeks ago on a Saturday, the power was out on the entire West side, all the way to Smiths grocery. Everyone was treating the stop signs as 4 ways, and things were going very smoothly. I was impressed.

I too noticed the patience and courtesy the driver’s were giving to each other.  4 way stops all the way.  Good job, Kalispell

Yep, the Kalispell drivers did a good job despite the incompetence, carelesness and utter disregard for public safety that Flathead Electric Coop allowed to let the accident happen in the first place.  As you drive up and down the highways when driving conditions permit, take a look at all those strange gadgets handing up on the power line poles now draped with far more lines than ever before.  Those are cheap quick fix gadgets that FEC is putting out there to keep the system operating at minimal cost without having to invest any money at all in basic and very much needed infrastrucure.  Watch now closely as FEC suddenly announces that it is selling out its entire system to Northwest Energy or some other equally corrupt electrical service “provider” where service is even worse.  And don’t think for a moment that you’ll ever get back those rebates that FEC has promised in its advertising for so many years.

ds robbins:  There you go again… .. always complaining about any and everything. If you can’t live with a minor power outage or an occasionally icy road, then you should move somewhere else, like perhaps a large city where power outages can last several days. Most people who live in Montana are more self reliant and resilient than you appear to be. By the way, I’ve been a Flathead Electric Co-op customer for over 40 years and have received several credit rebates. You must be new to the valley.
