Let’s be civil.
The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), accuse someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail webmaster [at] flatheadbeacon.com.

While half of Montana is looking for jobs, Tester is trying to shove another “wilderness” (call it
what you want) bill down our throats to stop any development or jobs from happening. Wake up
Montana!! His bill will surely stop any drilling in the Montana Bakken.

Whether a state is “right-to-work” or pro-union does affect a businesses decision regarding
location, hiring, or expansion.  It may not be the only deciding factor, but it is a factor as it
affects the potential profitability of his operation and the availability of workers.
As to the effect of HB 1505, it does not apply only to Montana.  It applies to the entire border
areas of the US, including the problem areas along the US-Mexico border.  Go to
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c112:H.R.1505: and read it yourself, without the hype
from its detractors or supporters and make up your own mind.
