Comments on: Public Wary of Parks District Proposal

Use the guys in lockup to mow lawns and do clean up.

Couldn’t this have been placed on the ballot?  Much more democratic than requiring 51% to mail in a letter of protest.  As one of the public commentors mentioned, it’s rare enough that 51% even vote.

This fee (aka tax) is rigged for success.  City attorney Charlie Harbill noted that the model the city is following has been used before.  But, what he failed to mention was whether or not it has been tested in court.  Me thinks a fee, which is a tax by another name (which if called a tax would put us over the legislated mill limit), which is arbitrarily based upon lot size, would not hold up to judicial scrutiny.

Does anyone have any info. on the survey referred to by Jim Patrick?  If it was fair and unbiased, then hopefully it and the results are available for review.

One thing you can always count on with socialist Mayor and empty skirt Pam Kennedy, and her incompetent co-hart’s on the city council; TAXES TAXES TAXES.

Sounds like something that a group of Kalispell property owners could hire legal counsel and take the city to court over.  The city council must really think nothing will happen - if this diatribe passes, then the property owners need to take it to the next level and take the city to court.

Geez Roark—when are you going to move out to the middle of nowhere so that you don’t have to deal with people and people don’t have to deal with you. It’s obvious you are unhappy with living in a community and that you would prefer not to be a part of a community—so just go out to the wilderness where you can truly live as a lone and wreckless soul.

I like how Tom thinks.  I’ve thought for many years that some community service could handle the parks.  And the highways.  And the forests. And the alleys.  And the lake shores and river banks…
When I become president (ha) there will be no unemployment or welfare.  Everybody who can (even barely) think and walk will be busy.  Taking care of America, starting in their own neighborhood.
Who ever came up with the plan of getting a check for doing nothing?  That is as un-American as dog stew and both disgust me.
