Do you mean like the G No P bills known as the Healthy Forests and Clear Skies acts?  Yeah, the Bill Titless sounded so sweet and innocent when just the opposite was true about what they allowed.

What’s it like to live in glass house with all those stones around your feet?

If Rehberg supports wind development and cheap, clean energy for Americans, then I can’t understand a vote against the clean energy bill. This legislation would give Montanans access to affordable sources of clean energy and give Americans better control over our energy future. Mr. Rehberg also seems uninformed about the bill, given that he refers to it as “cap and tax.” The clean energy bill is expected to cost the average individual $3-4 a month, according to independent non-partisan analyses by the CBO and Department of Energy, and household energy costs are actually expected to be lower under the bill because of efficiency measures it encourages.

As for Montana’s farmers, research has shown that agriculture income could actually go up under the clean energy bill. Farmers can cut their own emissions — by way of reduced soil tillage, methane capture, efficient fertilizer application, and planting perennial grasses or trees on marginal land — and then sell these credits to carbon emitters (see http://www.kansascity.com/618/story/1561435.html). And evidence suggests that the costs of climate change for farmers will far out way the costs of prevention. Check out http://www.globalchange.gov a web, site put together by the US Departments of State, Defense, Energy, Transportation, Health & Human Services, and several others along with NASA, the NSF, the NOAA, and USAID, to see these groups’ collective conclusions on the science of climate change and the potential costs for agriculture and more.

Rehberg also misrepresents the legislative status of this bill. It has already passed the House and has bipartisan support in the Senate. Will Max Baucus voted against it in his committee, as a way of voicing concern for Montana’s needs, he is expected to ultimately vote in favor of the Senate bill.

Montana ranks 5th in the nation for potential wind energy development, and is expected to gain thousands of jobs through passage of the clean energy bill. Let’s not stand in the way of momentum toward clean energy development and economic renewal. Senators Baucus and Tester, please do the right thing and vote in favor of the clean energy bill.

littlehawk, where are you getting your numbers? The CBO and EIA studies estimate that the clean energy bill will cost only three to four dollars a month.

Here’s the CBO report: http://energycommerce.house.gov/Press_111/20090620/cbowaxmanmarkey.pdf

Here’s the EIA report: http://energycommerce.house.gov/Press_111/20090804/eia.aces.factsheet.pdf

That seems like a reasonable cost to me given all the benefits of the bill. I think the Senate should pass it.

Clarification: That’s three to four dollars a month for individuals. In other words, less than some people spend on coffee or cigarettes every day.

Please provide a hotlink to the factcheck info you cited.  Something you should have done in the first place.  That’s the sign of a coward, or is it an incompetent, making assertions without a link to allow another to assess it for themselves.

Separately, knowing how conservatives hate flip-floppers, which identity are you going to use, littlehawk12 or Truther?  As it is, you’re flip-flopping between the two.  smile

flip flop he does, KN.  Throwing out wild accusations as he goes, unproven slanderous remarks.  Or, even worse yet, that which has been proven to be false that he continues to throw around.  Is he not smart enough to know where to find truth or does he really think someone will fall for his idiotic posts?  Keeping repeating LH/T, you tube is for entertainment purposes only.

Maybe LH/T has caught a bit of truth while paddling around in the sea of wild speculation and fantastic conspiracy theories. Like Jules Verne and his visions of super machines; Little Hawk has accidently envisioned the construction of a corruption machine the rest of us can’t imagine. Why don,t you, Mitch and KN argue from his point of view, as a test, and see if the pieces fit together in your own words. Once we agree we can move forward from there.

I find it funny Rehbug’s complaining about 6.8 million in lobbying since 2000 when the health care industry just spent 600 million in this year ALONE to defeat or corporatize health care reform into one big handout to big business….

and Rehbug has NEVER voted against BIG BUSINESS in favor of WE THE PEOPLE…..

and taking a bad bill and renaming it into something that sounds good was the hallmark of the bush admin and is still the hallamrk of the rethugs in Congress—-  it’s an old term called

double-speak…..

if you don’t know where the term comes from you are seriously lacking a decent education…..  google it

that’s as pathetic as not knowing who thoreau was!

If that’s the level of education of the general population then this country is seriously screwed and destined for 3rd world status

-  and with that squallid level of education it would be no wonder that a larger percentage of Americans believe dinosauers walked the earth at the same time as humans than believe in global warming….

and to all those that need someone to “Provide” a source of their facts…...

most of these facts can be ascertained as being true or not by a 30 sec google search….

as a general rule find out the facts for yourself….don’t trust others to show you the way or the light——-

most of thsoe links go straight to some corporate sponsed website -

and corporations have won the right to lie to us in many court decisions -  it’s called freedom of speech as defined by SCOTUS…....

The level of education today is not the result of reading the words of great minds but of an indoctrination of a self-centeredness and instant gratification from the masters of Madison avenue in concert wall street. We’ve been sold on the Idea’s of better living through debt. Now the bills are due.
The American Fools and their Nation and their Government are in debt up to their necks. What choices will they be given. Don’t give me that we’re all in this together crap.

Are the American people are finally starting to awaken?

We’ve been down this road before
Shown worse devils to the door

Throw off our chains of slavery
Now is the time to set ourselves free
And reclaim our liberty …

They bought the politicians and the news
They’ve got all the weapons (which they like to use)

But they are few and we’re billions strong
We are the giant … been sleeping for too long
Time to wake up and sing our victory song

No surprise.  The one in this chat thread:

appears to have been removed.  But since both Billy and I addressed you, we know you were there under your Truther handle.

I just want people to know they are talking to the same person whether it is lh12 or truther.

Look up “Dimmock v Secretary of State for Education and Skills” regarding a British court case about the showing of Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” to school children.  The “nine inaccuracies” certainly make for interesting reading - there were at least two dozen more, but the nine were enough to win the case for Dimmock.

It’s not an old saying, it’s a line from a movie.  ‘A Few Good Men’, to be specific.

What’s that old line from Ronnie Rayguns?  Oh yeah, “There you go again.”  Delivered with a rueful shake of his head.

It has to do with you being so intellectually devoid as to not know the difference between an old saying and a line from a movie.  And yet, you some how think spouting a line from a movie possesses the same intrinsic value as an old saying.

While, as usual, not making any kind of prescient point.
