Comments on: Renewed Energy in Push for Solar Power

Let’s be civil. The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail editor [at] flatheadbeacon.com. NICE! I encourage Flathead Electric to help develop and guide this community towards the real energy source and get away from that #### from underground.

Alternative energy is a total win-win situation for our economy. There could be no better investment in America than to invest in energy independence. Create cheap clean energy, create badly needed new green collar jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil all in one fell swoop. What other investment has tri-fold returns…none. Jeff Wilson has a really good new book out called The Manhattan Project of 2009 Energy Independence Now. We really need to wake up as a nation and realize the importance of energy independence to our economy and future generations!

I would like to whole-heartedly applaud you, Barbara and Kip, for your great pioneering, and forward looking efforts. More power to you! This is the best, most hopeful news I’ve seen coming out of the Flathead for some time!
You are truly a “Flathead Beacon” for the community.
Thank you.
