Good for you Senator Daines!  But let’s be wary.  Every few years, the feds seek to “save money”
by attacking benefits promised to veterans.  We see daily advertising seeking help for vets, the
same vets who were promised care by our gov’t.  Chairman Obama is no different in his proposed
(and active) hatchet-job on our military jobs and military people.  Ask yourself why our veterans are
so skeptical, so cynical.  Ask them!  The answer will always be the same…. the gov’t did not/will
not uphold their promises per the enlistment contract.  Some bureaucrat, some where, will simply
say “no” “disapproved”, and/or trashcan the paperwork.  Be wary of “promises”.

“You always hear how you should hire vets,” he said. “We decided to put our money where our
mouth is.”

Steve Daines said this while touring a VA clinic. At least 30% of VA employees are veterans.
Daines has voted repeatedly to eliminate a proposed 0.5% cost of living raise for federal
employees, including VA staff, for 2013. Federal employees have not received any cost of living
raises since wages were frozen in 2010.

Thanks, Steve Daines, for hiring veterans as your staffers, but your voting record clearly shows
you are no friend of the veterans who work hard for fellow veterans at the VA.
