Public comment lasted for over three hours with the fate of the airport in limbo

How does one “shutter in fear?”

I don’t envy the council. Half of the city will be steamed no matter what they do.

Beacon, have you crunched numbers on how much the airport currently costs taxpayers? Can you
find out what it would cost if expanded?

I don’t remember ever seeing actual costs anywhere.

Thank you mayor and citycouncil members.  My perception last night is that you were listening to
everyone.

Wasn’t the airport there before most of the homes? My opinion is that if you decide to build or buy
a home next to the airport, you have given up your right to complain about the noise. A similar
situation occurred recently in Great Falls. Big money was spent to “noise proof” all of the homes
that were built on airport hill. These people received new windows and other improvements.
Something about that just doesn’t seem quite right.

What is being proposed is an expansion that specifically seeks to increase traffic and allow for
bigger planes .  As a homeowner that is directly affected, I do not want it expanded.

The noise on some evenings already forces many families to take phone calls and dinners inside
their home.  More flights with bigger planes equals more noise and impacts for residents within
the flightpath.  S27 is a city airport, not a county, or regional airport.

City residents expect their Mayor and City Council members to listen to their concerns and they
expect these concerns to influence their decision.

Which came first the airport or the city and its residents?

@djtabish You may have $10, but I have the fleeting hope that I'll be a millionaire without having to do any work for it. #lazy
