Great story, but just to be fair, let me tell you about the other great prosthetist in the valley who has done incredible good for at at least as many. For the last 6 months this man and his wife Lori have been building me a new leg, they have done all the coaching and all the work in building a new leg for me as a fresh amputee. None of it has been paid for yet, they are patiently waiting for Blue Cross to determine that I have in fact even lost a leg, might need something to walk on, and someone to teach me how to do it. This is an expensive business and although Doug and Lori are spending money right and left helping me get the proper equipment, they haven’t been paid yet by the company that I pay my monthly premiums to. They have been generous, kind, and have literally helped me get back on my feet, all the while patiently waiting for Blue Cross to figure out who did what, where, and when, and why I couldn’t just keep the cancer a little longer in my body until they could figure it out. My hat’s off to Doug and Lori Jack and all the great work they do. Prosthetic work is a great work, I just thought you should recognize all the “gems” we have in the valley.
