You stated:
“While that number is small compared to the amount raised by the top four seeking the GOP nomination,”
HUH?
Guiliani - $11 mil
Romney - $10 mil
Thompson - $ 8 mil
McCain - $5 mil
Paul - $5 mil and $5.3 mil in the bank!
He has more money in the bank than all those except Romney. He would have more $$$ than Romney except Mitt put $8 mil of his own money into his campaign.
More important to note:
NO CORPORATE DONATIONS
All the others are owned by special interest.
Other than that note, thanks for the article.

Darren:
Thanks for the comment and for pointing out the error. I changed the language in the first paragraph to clarify that Paul’s campaign fund raising overall – in addition to the third quarter – is small compared the GOP front runners. Sorry about the mistake.

Just a quick note to encourge all of your hard work and effort.
I think the time should be split between raising cash and getting the word out.
Our group has something going on every day. Last week we hosted a Ron Paul booth at a Gun show we had so many gun owners come up and ask questions. Some already knew who Ron Paul was. The next morning we had a yard sale and raised just over $1500. One person had to keep 200 of funds rasied… So we donated $1300 to ronpaul2008.c0m split bewteen three of us… The last week of last qtr with over five yard sales we raised over $5000. Of
course everone received Paul flyers, etc.
The bottom line is think out of the box and focus on funds and getting the word out.

Been listening to talk radio all day, lots of talk about the debate. I can only recall hearing Ron Paul’s name twice and both times followed by a degrading comment. I am done wasting my time hoping the media will give him some recognition . Its time we paint these United States with (Ron Paul) signs every ware. I have twenty acres to make a RP crop circle and ten signs are going up around the perimeter .
I pray this man will be shielded from any harm the criminals attempt.

Ron Paul has some great solutions about America’s domestic problems, but his foreign policy is absolute garbage. Guiliani ‘08 for me.

Hi Dan - Just a quick note of thanks for giving Ron Paul some much needed and deserved recognition. With MSM (main stream media) doing it’s best to NOT cover Dr. Paul and the solutions he brings to our nation, your fair coverage is greatly appreciated. I want to encourage EVERYONE to learn more about Ron Paul at ronpaulforpresident2008.com, and come join our Ron Paul MeetUp group to get involved in making a difference. Working together, we CAN deliver the State of Montana to Ron Paul at the GOP National Convention.
For more on our Ron Paul Meetup Group, go to meetup.com and enter Ron Paul, Kalispell. Come join the Revolution!

Im all for Guiliani or McCain at this point...but I will admit I know very little about this Ron Paul character, except out here in Seattle when he was here a little bit ago it was a BIG deal...surprising considering it’s, well, Seattle.

While I don’t agree with Paul item for item on his agenda, I believe he is a man of integrity, intelligence and courage, and I strongly support his general approach to government, particularly his more humble and sensible approach to foreign policy, his aim to reduce federal power and the power of corrupt private banking interests, and his emphasis on constitutional law.
I’ve put together a collection of videos, if you’d like to hear more about Paul’s positions. Check out: The Essential Ron Paul.

He is the ONLY hope for this country...anyone who really really listens and reads about this guy loves him.
The ONLY knock anyone ever really can come up with is:
“He can’t win....”
WE NEED TO CHANGE THIS.....Or God Help this Country.
Buy a dozen Bumper stickers (or more) and give them to people...talk about him to people...it has to be a non partisan grass roots effort. The media has taken a 100% zero coverage, the powers that be, are very afraid of what he represents. (You and I...and he actually cares about us...this goes against everything every other congressperson stands for)

Ron Paul is a humble Christian man, committed to limited government, as required by the constitution, ready to take us through possible economic hard times and into prosperity, allowing our nation to be an example to the world in freedom, prosperity & peace.
I thank God for this hope.

I like seeing a candiate able to make waves in our outdated 2-party system. Good for Ron Paul. However I must ask; is littering part of the approach to get his name out? I see several signs duct taped to poles, power boxes and more. It’s ugly. Another 13 months of this and it will look more like Oakland than Montana. Hey Ron supporters...show some class and take down those weather-thrashed signs. Please!

I am afraid that the big wigs have somehow put pressure on the MSM to shut out Paul after all the attention the money bomb gave him....all the sudden they are quiet. Which means they care nothing of what their viewers (or in my case, previous viewers) really think. But then again thats always been their function; to guide the views of the American public. Well we’re NOT that stupid and they take us for granted. Write these stations and protest the blackout of the greatest American candidate America has seen in a LONG time. Let them hear your voice.

Just curious. Has Ron Paul given the $500 donation from the owner of the racist and anti semitic website stormfront back? Has he renounced the support of the sleazy John Birch Society? He seems to have become a magnet for the lunatic fringe. His statements on race are nothing short of appalling to decent people. The more I research this guy the worse it gets.
