The next thing that the Liberals will come up with that Sarah Palin will be moving to Liberia or Afghanistan!
They might even start believing that she is the is the Antichrist and
Yes I believe that liberals are that demented!

A somewhat fuller explanation than that offered by Beacon editors…

“Meg Stapleton then points out to Politico, that, no, media inquiries were already coming in before she issued a statement:

Stapleton said in an interview that she issued the statement because of the volume of media inquiries about the allegations. Noting that some outlets were pressing her, writing “urgent” in the subject lines of their emails, she said that the Palin camp thought traditional media reports on the story were imminent.

However, that did not stop local (Alaskan) CBS affiliates from running with the divorce story on Saturday evening without the denial from the Palin team earlier in the day.”

One could argue that a television anchor is nothing more than a news reader and not a journalist…but not with that anchor!

More spin from some twit with a blog that heard a rumor and fed it to the networks - fortunately, it was dispelled.  I guess her detractors will try almost anything to discredit her to the point of insanity.  The rumor mill is working overtime on Palin - again.

READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

She already has a documented record as a liar and a quitter, JB.  Those facts will keep her in her rightful place, out of politics.

@KN - so you say; that is certainly what the mainstream media portrays her as.

She quit the last two jobs she held.  And I posted a link to the list of her lies that was published in The Atlantic, author Andrew Sullivan (not exactly a leftie).

It was in one of the other threads you and I were participating in.  I guess you chose to ignore it so you wouldn’t have to acknowledge any facts that are on the record.  How very convenient and comfortable for you.

@KN - I didn’t intend to ignore your thread.  I’ll take a look at it.

@KN - checked your story and tracked it back to the only 2 sources used for the story:

- A regular contributor for the Huffington Post - that is your idea of credibility?

- A blog called “The Gun-Toting Liberal” - “not exactly a leftie”, huh?

More credible than that John Bircher Neuendorf you like so much.  Let a lone that tin soldier fake patriot you cited.

I happen to like gun-toting liberals.  I R 1. smile

The fact remains, documented facts on the record are still facts.  Palin is a liar.

One fact is for sure, no matter how much you love her, you ain’t gettin any o’ that.

READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

Ah, so you are reducing this now to name calling.  I think I’ve heard enough - no point in continuing this further.

I happen to like gun toters too - I R 1 as well - just not the liberal variety.

She may be a liar - but then again, so is almost every politician in Washington - it seems to be a common job skill among them.  She just doesn’t know how to mask her lies very well - that much is obvious.

And you’re right - one less lying politician is a good thing. smile

Just for the record:

http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2009/07/the-odd-lies-of-sarah-palin-a-roundup.html

And it’s Sullivan that I said was not exactly a leftie.  You might want to check more of the stories and their sourcings.

There are plenty of liars on both sides of the aisle, on that we can agree.  Although, of late, GOP liars sure have the lead over Dems these days.  Vitter, Sanford, Ensign, etc vs Spitzer.  At least when it comes moralistic hypocrites lying to their wives.

And if you Google the bio of your guy Neuendorf, he straightforwardly states he’s a Bircher.

Cheers. smile

URBuddy: again, the GOP leads the way in pious hypocrisy.

But, the Dems on the list don’t impress me either.  It’s just that they don’t declare their religious fealty as a campaign promise, Goopers do.

People are human and will have human failings. Making a general statement, when a member of the GOP messes up that person is usually removed from their organizational position/pressured to step down/pressured to shut up and resign. They don’t always accept responsibility for their actions but, they are usually shunned for not doing so. When a member of the Dems messes up that person is re-elected/given positions of responsibility/lionized/and not pressured to resign or step down.
Generally speaking…

We republicans get rid of our criminals, liberals promote theirs!
So who is really the hypocrites I would suggest that liberals are,but then that is just my belief!
By Kalispell Native on 08-06-09
READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

tomtom: What criminal Democrats have been promoted?

Prove your assertion.

If Republicans get rid of their criminals, why are Ensign, Sanford, Vitter still in office?  Shall we talk about the criminal activities associated with RNC head, Michael Steele?  He got elected/promoted by Republicans. hmmmm?

You need better right-wing talking points.  But that would involve facts and truthfulness and all that provincial stuff.

You have an “interesting” definition of criminality.  Careto be specific about why they are criminals.  Something more than tiresome Chappaquidick dead horse, I hope.  Anything contemporary?

READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

You call murder a “dead horse”? Murder is still murder, just ask Ted Kennedy’s cousin!
By Kalispell Native on 08-06-09
READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

That’s about the cousin.  Ted Kennedy received no promotion for that.  You need to learn not to conflate one person’s existence with another.  Your’s is an overly simplistic view of how the world works.

There is nothing more tiresome to me than the Kennedy’s.  And the liberal blather is somewhat worse than tiresome.  I wonder what a contemporary liberal would sound like?
By URBuddy on 08-06-09
READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

KN,
I’ll respond to your question asking “what criminals have been promoted” with 2 examples, 1 recent and 1 from the past that is continuing today…
1 recent, William Jefferson, Democrat representing parts of New Orleans was found with 90k dollars hidden in his freezer during a bribery investigation. He was re-elected in 2006. He was, however, defeated for re-election in 2008. This week he was convicted on 11 of 16 Federal bribery counts and faces more than 150 yrs in prison.

1 past and continuing, Senator Byrd, Dem, WVA. Former grand wizard (or some other similar title) in the KKK. He has held several leadership positions while in Congress.

As a comparison, Trent Lott makes what he thinks is a friendly comment at a birthday party and is forced from his leadership position within the Republican leadership and has since quit the Senate.

As for your Kennedy, dead horse comment…Mary Jo is the only one dead, 40 years ago last month. Drowned after having survived the accident…while Kennedy went back to his hotel and slept instead of notifying the authorities…

URBuddy:  I was happy to see Cunningham convicted for his corruption.  Just as I was happy about the same for Doolittle (R-CA).  I wonder how many more Goopers will fall because of Abramoff.  Then there’s Murtha’s (D-PA)  issues.  Why Cunningham got re-elected may have something to do with ‘innocent until proven guilty’ plus any number of elements of Southern culture.  The whole “dead girl, live boy in bed” thing famously uttered by now-imprisoned former LA Gov. Edwin Edwards.

I’ll see your Byrd and raise you a Strom Thurman and a Jesse Helms.  You may not know that Byrd disavowed the KKK in 1952 and has repeatedly stated his regret in having been associated with it in his younger days.

The whole Kennedy/Kopechne incident is sad, tragic and ugly to be sure.  But why you wish to hold on to it for so long as a reason to oppose the Democratic Party is sad too.
By URBuddy on 08-07-09
READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

I agree with Cunningham’s situation and with Murtha’s. Unfortunately, as long as Pelosi is Speaker Murtha is protected from House action. As are the other Congressman that are involved. It’ll be up the Justice Dept. as it was with Jefferson.
You made my point by mentioning Strom, for it was at his BD party that Lott made the remarks that eventually led to his leaving the Senate.
I did not bring up Teddy, I merely responded…

Today, the Senate slapped Dodd and Conrad on the hand for not being “vigilant enough” when they received VIP treatment from Countrywide, a company in an industry they oversaw in their official capacity.
