There would be no sense in supporting Gov. Palin, in her efforts to do service - in a Spiritual Scence -  to needy people in the Youkon.

We know that a Democrat can never do wrong. The Media is so dedicated.  We know also, that anywhere she might go she will be ‘Put Down’.

The Propaganda from the Left is to be congratulated, they far exceed all that the Russians, and/or the Germans ever did. This will continue.  The Left has reason to fear. I do not think any person can be demolished.  That is for the individual self to do when knowing that they are wrong.  I will not delve into how Power and Greed with some Politicians force them to pursue. Palin, is a North Territory survivor. Interesting to watch how many survive in the next four years.

Schweitzer is a libertarian-hater.  If it’s Pro-Liberty, he’s opposed to it.  In 2006, he made sure that the libertarian property rights initiative - against eminent domain was thrown off the Montana ballot, even though signature gatherers had collected over twice the number of signatures required.  He then held a press conference blasting “libertarians from out-of-state” who were sponsoring the inititive.

Naturally, Schweitzer would hate Sarah Palin, one of the most libertarian governors in the country.  Where’s the surprise here?  Schweitzer is a Marxist.  Palin supports property rights and limited government.

Gee Eric, why the hate mongering? Because our guv doesn’t share the same party affiliation as AK’s guv, you assume that “Naturally, Schweitzer would hate Sarah Palin.” I have noticed that the righteous right has a real “our way or you’re wrong / you’re either w/ us or against us” attitude. Continuing to polarize with foolish rhetoric will solve nothing. So BS took a few jabs at SP - big deal; lighten up. “Ha Ha” is right, Palin brings it on herself (see: her multiple appearances on Saturday Night Live). And re: the ballot issue: IF BS did something truly illegal, why didn’t the Lib Party pursue it in court? Or did you not give us the full story?

fact - palin has real accomplishments
fact - obama has no accomplishments , he is incompetent, has tendency to “vote present”, is a confirmed radical, and has weak leadership qualities and it is already showing with his tax cheats, lobbyists and even plain old pay for play criminals, weak foreign policy and that generational theft act etc.

so why is palin smeared at every turn and obama lauded?

Hey Schweitzer, maybe it is because:

“Gov. Palin’s office announced Thursday that her travel to western Alaska coupled with her work on budget amendments and “economic stimulus certification requirements” would prevent her from attending this weekend’s NGA meeting, which includes not only the energy policy discussion but also a Sunday black tie dinner at the White House and a Monday governors-only meeting with President Barack Obama.”

The Anchorage Daily News reported about her trip to western Alaska:

“Gov. Sarah Palin and evangelist Franklin Graham flew out of Wasilla Airport this morning to the Yukon River village of Russian Mission, where Graham’s international Christian relief group plans to deliver food to dozens of families today.”

Good move by Governor Palin.

Uhhh, that would be Tina Fey! I know most liberals have an IQ equal to a small glass of ice water, BUT, you’d think they could tell the difference!

Governor Palin made only ONE appearance on Saturday Night Live, and it was their highest rated show in years.

This is what Loren Michaels said of her after the show:

“I think Palin will continue to be underestimated for a while. I watched the way she connected with people, and she’s powerful. Her politics aren’t my politics. But you can see that she’s a very powerful, very disciplined, incredibly gracious woman. This was her first time out and she’s had a huge impact. People connect to her”

Everyone who meets her says the same thing.

As for Governor Schweitzer, that was a pretty classless remark.

Palin.

“HaHa”  you are surely a throwback.  Sarah’s beautiful daughter and her fiance are not the first (hmmm, hollywood) to jump the gun when they love each other.  Compare this with the case of BO’s mother who was abandoned by the father of her child.

Actually, the real reason Sarah couldn’t come to Montana is because she has to stay home and work on pay the back taxes she owes the State of Alaska for her boondoggle trips to Wasilla these past several years.  Not to worry, Governor Schweitzeer is more than capable of running a successful and productive conference all by himself.  He doesn’t need help from the Moose Lady.

Rather than making ribbing jokes about America’s favorite Governor (Palin) you could learn a few things from her. Namely that she is governing - serving the people- and not being taken in by all the hop-la going on in DC.

Hey David

You must be referring to the per diem nonsense that she was legally entitled to.

Allow me to put your snarky comment into its proper context.

She never claimed per diem for living in her home in Wasilla.  She only requested per diem for meals and other incidentals while working away from her official office in Juneau. Why was she requesting per diem for meals while working away from her official office? Answer: Because the 90 year old governor’s mansion was under renovation and badly needed repair.

In December of 2008, The Anchorage Daily News reported the following:
http://www.adn.com/626/story/617789.html

”When the Palins moved in, there were all of a sudden lots of leaks and stuff because a real family was living there.”

”The open house has been a tradition for 93 years, with two years off during World War II, said Erica Fagerstrom, the residence manager.”

”She was happy the home was in shape for the thousands of guests. The mansion has undergone extensive plumbing renovations.”

“This place was a construction zone three weeks ago,” she said.”

With the renovations going on at the mansion, the Governor could have legally requested per diem for lodging (hotel or an apartment) in Juneau or Anchorage as previous governors had done in the past. But she didn’t. Instead she opted to stay at her home in Wasilla saving the tax payers of Alaska thousands of dollars. She only asked for meal per diem and not for the more expensive lodging per diem. And she only claimed meal per diem for herself and not for her husband and children even though she was legally entitled to.

Photo’s of work at the mansion in October of 2007: http://www.juneauempire.com/stories/100207/loc_20071002005.shtml

“Workers are replacing the 95-year-old building’s antiquated plumbing system and are generating lots of dust as they remove old pipes. The first phase of construction is scheduled to be completed in December. The second phase will be done next year.”

An important note:  It was Governor Palin herself who ordered the review of the tax policy. A fact reported by the Anchorage Daily News on February 17, 2009.
http://www.adn.com/palin/story/693695.html

“At the Governor’s request, we reviewed the situation to determine whether we were in full compliance with the pertinent Internal Revenue Service regulations,” [state administration commissioner Annette] Kreitzer wrote. “As a result of this review, we determined that per diem needs to be treated as income, requiring a revision of W-2 forms for any affected employees.”

So Governor Palin herself asked for the review and she will pay her the tax she owes - unlike a certain Obama Cabinet member who wouldn’t pay his taxes even when he was notified by the IRS – that is not until he was selected by Obama to be his Treasury Secretary and chief enforcer of the IRS.

As for the clothes, they were returned—they were never Sarah’s property. Maybe the horse manure on Schweitzer’s jeans that he complained about came from beating a dead horse.

The election is over.  It is time to repair friendships with the other party.  Governor Palin is doing her part to do just that.  The rest of the world has difficulty understanding how, after bitter election campaigns, American politicians can kiss and make-up.

For instance, Governor Palin has invited the men who defeated her, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, to her great state of Alaska.  For their enjoyment, she has set up a moose hunting trip and hired three men who have hospitality experience to assist them.

Dick Cheney will lead them on the hunt, Ted Kennedy will do the driving, and Bill Clinton will entertain their wives and daughters.

What a lady !  That Sarah is such a sport and thinks of everything !

If you truly listen to Palin and watch what she does, you can kind of figure out what may have happened here and why she was a no show at the Governor’s conference.  Perhaps she did or said something at the Alfalfa Dinner that was a classic Palinesqe gaffe.  Plus she was criticized in her home state for jaunting off to DC while western Alaskans are starving, Todd has been found in contempt over the Troopergate thing, and the news is out that she owes back taxes on those per diem payments she collected while staying at home.  Quite possibly she is now embarrassed and avoiding the Gov’s conference.

Under the circumstances, her decision to stay at home to work on local issues was probably a good one.  She is certainly not the sharpest tool in the box, but she’s sharp enough to lay low right now.  And it had to be a huge sacrifice for her because she does love the spotlight!
