Congratulations Semitool.

I remember your products (in that other valley) from the pre-processor / controller days.

Also, Good Luck with your recent forays into alternate energy technologies.  In spite of some skeptics those markets will continue to grow.  Go FlowBatts !

Depends on your job skills.  Figure on about 180k$ per year for a solid PhD in Chem Engr. from a major university and 10 years experience with a fortune 500 company.  Less for a janitor.

It continues to amaze me how Semitool stays alive and competitive in an industry with about 500 client companies worldwide - all semiconductor manufacturers.  That will certainly expand with adding alternative energy technology capital equipment.  They’ll need to in order to further compete with the big dogs like Applied Materials and Novellus.

“What are the wages like at Semitool?”

The better question would be: How often would I be layed off if I worked there?

The answer would be: Quite a lot!!

If you are looking for a career, I would not knock on Semitool’s door.
