Reader Poll
Let’s be civil.
The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail webmaster [at] flatheadbeacon.com.

Although Reagan may be a more reveered president than Grant, there are a handful of better past-presidents that should be considered first.

It’s agreed no one wants to se Reagan’s face on a paper bill.  That’s ok, the Republicans will next propose that we but Daddy Bush’s profile on pennies.  That’ll be ok too since they are worthless, just like his whole family.

agreed - inflation WILL wreck this economy, just as it has wrecked every economy on earth that has adopted similar tax and spend policies. It is the immutable law of economics. unless gov’t spending stops in a big way the future of the US economy will crumble to pieces. very ugly. Sad thing is, this could all be avoided if the teleprompter-in-chief and the Dem’s would exercise some basic economic competence. I saw somewhere that at current rates of gov’t spending will be 90% of GDP in 2020. yikes.
