Mr Zarcone is doing the right thing to show respect for the one or more people buried there. There is some
forgotten historical information that needs to be looked into for the area. The S.H.I.P.O. office needs to get
actively involved this time to ensure the site is what they think it is. If it is Native or a white burial, it still needs
to be protected as per State law and the proper procedures need to be followed. Hope they get back on the
right track and return to state authorized/required protocol so the same situation that came from the
desecration of the Woodland Park burial ground over the years and ending with the discovery of the young
native girls skull that was found that came from the Daily Interlake press room building site in 2004, does not
repeat itself. It’s all about documenting these sites and giving them the respect due. There is some very
important information that has been overlooked with this site.
