Comments on: State to Fight Eastern Montana Coal Seam Fires

Let’s be civil. The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail editor [at] flatheadbeacon.com. Many of these fires will be aggrevated if they are simply dug out and wet down. The water can cause spontanious combustion. There is new technology that can adsorb the oxygen that is buried inside the coal seam and the underground coal fire can be extinguished with CAFSCO Foam injected deep into the heated coal. Be careful about fire control companies that try to copy this technology, there is one company that is cheating the coal agencies by watering down the concentrates and claiming to have extinguished mine fires with nitrogen foam when there was no coal involved but only a limited fire in a vehicle that probably burned itself out. We show our patented nitrogen foam by discharging samples on the surface at anytime a change is made.

I hope someone with the Montana coal agency reads this,
Best Regards,
