Comments on: Terminally Ill Montana Woman: Doctors Won’t Help with Suicide

Let’s be civil. The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail editor [at] flatheadbeacon.com. The only reason we are talking about this issue is b/c the FDA system is broken getting valuable lifesaving drugs to market.  DAVANAT - arguably the magic bullet for most cancer treatment isn’t even a buzz word with the elite oncologists. How would a Montana doctor know about the life saving treatment of DAVANAT?  He wouldn’t know unless there was publicity on the topic.  Unfortunately Janet is in for a painful death.  Little does she realize she could take chemo without any fear of side effects and knock her cancer out at the same time.  DAVANAT is the magic bullet but you can only get it if you are terminal.  So the question is why isn’t the doctor searching for a way to save Janet since he clearly doesn’t want to let her kill herself.  Perhaps he is searching, but I wouldn’t bet on it.  My hope is that all this publicity turns to outrage when people find out DAVANAT has been around for 5 years.  Think about how many people could have been saved.
