PATHETIC!!!!!! This so called Kalispell Classical Dance provided the first ever Nutcracker comedy I have EVER seen!!!!!! I had heard that this instructor was very disorganized, and seeing the show proved that one!! What a waste of $$! I almost wanted to ask for a refund! Glad my kids dance with another studio, one with class and experience! I will NEVER attend another one of Kalispell Classical Dance performances, unless of course I want a REALLY good laugh!!

I personally thought this performance was great!! The children did great! For many of them it was their first time, so of course it didn’t turn out professional but they did the best they could! Crissy is also very awesome for letting smaller children participate… unlike some other studios who exclude children because of their age. With Kalispell Classical Dance everyone has an opportunity… big or small!

This show was very fun. The price for the ticket was a little more than I would normally pay for this type of an event, but my niece was in the production and she had a blast.
It was a little disorganized, but things usually are when you try them the first time…
I’ve been to recitals for other Kalispell studios and it was like watching the same dance over and over and over again.
This had a nice story to it and was fun.

We went to the Saturday night show and it was great! I couldn’t believe this was only their first show as it was very professional. We also went to the other Nutcracker in town over Thanksgiving weekend and thought this one was just as good. It was nice to see the students dancing next to professionals. We didn’t think it was disorganized at all.

My daughter used to dance at another school in town and has been dancing with Krissy for 6 months. Krissy has done a fantastic job with these kids.

If only all of you could have seen what she has had to go through to get this to the stage. She has had threats from parents, harassment from other schools, people not show up to rehearsals or the performance itself, the backstage crew she was promised by the theater never showed up, and more. I witnessed this myself and despite all of that she remained calm, organized, and put on a wonderful show. The professional dancers she brought in were breathtaking. I was backstage when a disgruntled parent threatened to write “letters to the editor” bad mouthing the school and show. Believe me, my daughters have been in another studios productions and this one was fabulous!!! Not only is Krissy talented but she cares about her students and that showed in this Nutcracker. I agree with Montana74 that this show was not disorganized at all. It was great.

Um?  Sounds like the 12/21/08 commentor is just a little green with envy and a lot angry.  Wondering why?  Isn’t there room in the world of dance and in such a small town for variety in creative expression?  I also wonder what makes this commentator such an expert in ballet?  Because her child takes lessons????  We where visiting for the holidays and our whole family found the matinee thoroughly entertaining. The professional dancers were the “frosting on the cake”. This
production was a bargain. Also, commentator, “I’ve heard this
instructor is very disorganized”, sounds like gossip to me! Careful little lady, People can dial 911-attorney faster than you can gossip. Commentator, you also are glad that your children dance with another studio with class & experience. Wish you could define what a studio with class is like???  You didn’t mention their creative and beautiful costumes, the beautiful guest artists, nor how the story was told in an interesting and entertaining way. Shame on you for trying to ruin this poor woman’s reputation and discourage others from experiencing her school’s lovely effort.  Her students looked like they were having fun and enjoying their first on stage experience. My three daughters dance at a school in the San Francisco Bay area and I would have been a proud parent if they had been in this production.  We also went to their Candy Cane party receiving photos and autographs from the guest artists and lead dancers. Lots of fun.  Wanna_play_Montana,
whining and being angry really isn’t becoming to a young woman.  (You sound like a student not a parent)

Whoa!!!  Sounds like dancers are very passionate people…....
possibly insecure , and highly competitive.  “not professional”,
“very professional”......what does that really mean??????
Does it mean I don’t want you , the reader to think well of
this production? Or does it mean “I liked the production, it
was worth my time and money”?  I am a downhill skier and
will admit I’m competitive and want to win. But, when I’m
done racing I still respect my competitors.  My friends who
dance in Missoula seem to get along with dancers from
other schools. Wanna_play_Montana really tried to trash
the other school…...she needs to kick back and maybe stay
home if all of this gets her so upset. Definitely not worth a
coronary!
