Well, are not home prices only worth what people will pay for them? Just because you bought a 300,000 dollar home, doesn’t mean it’s worth 300,000 dollars. If there are 20 of the same houses for sale at 300,000 dollars, and nobody wants to buy them, wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume that in a free market that they are worth less? If the prices are lowerd to sell at 220,000 and now a few people are interested, and mabey 2-3 houses sell at that price, wouldn’t that make the appraisal value of those homes around 220,000?

Tthe homeowners must be right. Not the appraisers who are actually trained to do this.
If anything banks are cutting appraisal values. I’m sorry, I just don’t buy that appraisers are undervaluing homes on a large scale…it’s not likes if makes them popular!
Americans are turning into complete whiny-babies.
