Comments on: Twin Congressional Upsets Shock Political Observers

Let’s be civil. The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail editor [at] flatheadbeacon.com. The most important thing we could do to improve our political system, and we can do it, will be to reform campaign finance rules both locally, statewide, and nationally.  An educated, active electorate is an empowered electorate and the foundation of democracy.  Kudos to Driscoll for his principals and best of luck in forging a new path forward.

Montana Democrats missed an opportunity when the failed to select Jim Hunt as our candidate to take on our ineffective Congressman Denny Rehberg in November.  Instead, they chose a non-entity who had already announced he has no intention of running a serious campaign.  So, Rehberg will win by default and continue his time and self-serving role in the House.  Why is it that Montana Democrats always put up political unknowns or incometents for our single seat in the House?  Well, Will Rogers had it right when he said years ago, “I don’t belong to an organized political party, I’m a Democrat.“

Serves the MT GOP right for being a bunch spineless liberals anyway. They’re getting what they deserve with this socialist hack Kelleher.
