Not good yet, but still improving since the 750,000 monthly job loss he inhertied from the last failed Republican President. Of course, it could have been much better without stuborn,
partisan refusal to allow the legislation that would speed recovery. The economy held hostage
for political advantage, regardless human suffering.
Obstruction followed by deceit, however may be the right’s best option now that they have
abandoned all but the 1%.

Good work! Our President is gradually turning the giant tanker ship that had been pointed straight into the rocks by his predecessor. You can’t change the awful effects of the
momentum that had been created by the previous administration. In addition to working hard
to redirect the tanker into safer waters, the President has been working with a crew that openly
declared mutiny and refused to help operate the ship!!! We are VERY lucky that we hired
someone into the job who was strong enough to keep going with the work of trying to help
American citizens.

You can’t be serious!!!! Anyone who reads the dismal numbers of the Obama/Tester economy would not conclude that anything is being turned around. Every part of the economy has gotten
worse and worse under the Obama/Tester agenda. Any of us who work in the private sector know
that and these numbers tell the horrific story of the Obama/Tester agenda.

I’m more inclined to believe the ADP employment figures:
http://www.adpemploymentreport.com/pdf/FINAL_Report_January_12.pdf
Even so, we are still not on the economic mend, as others would have you believe - the biggest
indicator being that 25 percent of the economy is supported by government spending.

Those totally enthralled by His Holiness Emperor obama cannot be swayed by anything. There are no facts, no corruption, no crimes sufficient to interrupt their worship.
By waterman on 02-04-12
rightofcenter, You are not alone. Leftist hate facts, it detracts from their cause.
Still blaming GW is outdated. Grow up and accept that his holiness is a dismal failure in every
aspect. Except one. Getting more on unemployment gov’t handouts. Having more in this postion
is the way to make them belive that the gov’t can actually correct this wreck. They forget that the
gov’t caused this wreck in the first place. Correcting this gov’t mess can only be done in the
private sector. The right mindset and willinness of the Am. public to step up to the plate will only
work if the gov’t gets out of the way.

No one is denying the facts presented, only pointing out that these alone don’t tell the real story.
The fact of the job loss numbers happening when Obama was sworn in, and the fact that this
recession was created under a Republican pResident, followed by the fact of Congressional
Republican obstruction of all logical efforts to correct the Republican caused recession points
to the real problem.
The fact that Republicans instituted the failed “supply side” economic scheme, and refuse all
efforts to reverse it, and the fact that Republicans refuse to reinstate any portion of the tax
responsibility the Republicans removed from the most successfull capital aggregraters, coupled
with the fact that Republicans have refused to allow a return of logical regulation of Wall Street
and corporations show the limited success of President Obama to be the exceptional
accomplishment it is.
It is the right that disavow all facts that don’t support their agenda; most facts have a liberal
bias.

Blaming either party is a wasted cause. The problems did not start w/any one single president. It started maybe even before Clinton. Yes, there are numerous individuals who got their ideas and
plans into play that lead us in this poor direction. But, the fact still remains that no individual can
have their complete say w/o congress and the presidents approval. Either party has had
numerous opportunities to reset the course over the years and terms.
That is why I stated the gov’t has got us in this mess. I only think his holiness has failed to correct
the problem. I think we all know that he alone cannot fix this disaster. It will take the private sector
to fix it. With the gov’t allowing them do it. Donot forget the gov’t cannot create wealth. They take
wealth away and spend it suposssedly for the benifit of the nation as a whole.
Increasing our nat’l debt is not going to fix it. It is only adding to the problem. Lowering our dollar
value worldwide makes us more suspectable to further degeneration.

Obama said he was going to part the seas, bring everyone together and solve all our economic problems. Both him and Tester blamed everything on Republicans. The first two years of the
Obama term Democrats had complete control of the Federal Gov’t (i.e. the Presidency, the House
and veto proof majority in the Senate). They could have done anything they wanted without the
Republicans being able to stop them. What did they do, just look at the laundry list I typed above,
the made everything much worse. Instead of trying to improve the economy, they wasted all their
time shoving government controlled healcare/Obamacare down our throats in a totally partisan
way. They bailed out banks and car companies and balooned the federal national debt and deficit
and created more and more regulations on small business.
During the campaign, Obama promised to bring us together and solve all our ills. All he has done
is divide us by class warfare and increase the size and scope of the federal government to the
detrement of business and freedom. There is no hiding from his record, his record speaks for itself,
he himself said if he didn’t fix the economy that he should be a one term proposition. Now we’re
ready to take him up on it. The days of blaming Bush are over, Obama and Tester own this
economy.

So if unemployment is falling and happy days are here again, please tell me why the Federal Reserve announced an extension of 0 percent interest rates through 2014?

Figures don’t lie, but liars can figure. The Obama statistics have been doctored more than DollyParton.

Eileen, don’t drag poor Dolly into this! She’s a classy dame, and a savvy business woman!
Seriously though - the BHO admin should put her in charge of job creation. She’s created her very
own stimulus package with her theme park and employs hundreds of people who’ve kept it going for
more than 25 years. The woman’s got moxie!

Not to mention the small army she uses to constantly reorganize her face.

The fact that Dolly Parton has undergone extensive cosmetic proceedures was not meant to takeanything away from the contributions she has made to the economy in Tennessee. Her efforts and
successes could be a great example to the scammers and manipulators in Washington who are
pretending to care for our economy.
From the Sevierville Tennessee tourism bureau:
” In 1986, Dolly wanted to do something for the folks in her Tennessee mountain home. Partnering
with Herschend Family Entertainment, Dolly opened her Dollywood family theme park in nearby
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This 150 acre park has grown adding new rides, shows, restaurants and
festivals in the past 25 years.
Only two years after Dollywood opened, Dolly cut the ribbon on her Dixie Stampede dinner
attraction, also located in Pigeon Forge. This dinner and show proved so popular that additional
Dixie Stampede attractions were also opened in Myrtle Beach, SC and Branson, MO. The show
features a friendly rivalry between the North and South with 32 magnificent horses plus
ostriches, pigs, a herd of authentic Texas longhorns and, new for 2010, a lumberjack competition
called Rumble in the Treetops.
In 2001, Dolly opened the third of her Dollywood companies in Sevier County. Dollywood’s Splash
Country instantly received “splashing” reviews with kids and parents alike. This 35 acre park,
filled with slides, a lazy river and wave pool, is open late May through early September each year.”

Here’s the rest about Dolly that didnb’t fit above:
“
Education and imagination are cornerstones of success. In 1996, Dolly Parton launched an
exciting new effort to benefit the children of her home county in East Tennessee, Sevier County.
Dolly wanted to foster a love of reading among her county’s preschool children and their
families. She wanted children to be excited about books and feel the magic they can create.
Moreover, she wanted to ensure that every child would have books regardless of their family’s
income.
With the introduction of Dolly’s Imagination Library, Dolly began mailing a brand new, age
appropriate book each month to every child under the age of five in Sevier County. With the
arrival of every child’s first book, the classic “The Little Engine That Could” TM, every child
could experience the joy of finding their very own book in their mailbox. By the time each
participating child entered Kindergarten, he or she had a 60-volume library of books. The last
book of the collection, “Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come,” prepared them for school.
Needless to say, the program has been a success. So much so that many other communities
clamored to provide the Imagination Library to their children. Dolly thought long and hard about
it and decided to help develop a way for other communities to participate. With Penguin Group
USA as the exclusive publisher for the Imagination Library, the program is now replicated in
1,200 communities throughout the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.
Dolly has also been a major supporter of healthcare in Sevier County. She is the honorary
chairperson of The Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation, named for the doctor who delivered Dolly and
helped establish adequate healthcare facilities in Sevier County. “

I have to make a comment that just occured to me as I looked here again to check the quotes Iposted. I noticed that the statement I took from the tourism board that was made in recognition
of the great good Dolly Parton has brought to her community has gotten two “thumbs down” ratings.
I can’t help but wonder why someone would dislike the publishing of her accomplishments and
humanitarian efforts.

It might mean that some just do not like successful people or accomplishments.
