Yes, Flathead junior Matthew Tokarz won the Western Divisional AA title in the triple jump with the state’s best mark
—46’ 7.5. But it should also be noted that Matthew’s jump broke a 40 year old record that was set in 1972 by Larry
Pericich of Butte and tied in 1974 by Kurt Jacobson of Missoula Sentinel. The previous record was 46’ 6.5”.
