The ‘vulnerable’ in our communities are the SAME people who are doing well now.  The only
difference is ONE major healthcare need and not being able to work for a few months. That’s all.
The way things are now, after a serious illness that same weathy person will not be able to get
affordable health insurance, they will lose their savings and maybe their home trying to get
basic healthcare.  That is one of THE main things that separates the confident ‘have’s from the
hard working ‘have nots.’  If anyone thinks they are immune from this situation, think again.  I
have seen this happen.  Obamacare would protect people from losing everything they own, and/or
being excluded from receiving healthcare.  This gives people a chance to recover and get back to
work.  The Republicans want to rip that up without any alternative option to offer hard working
Americans.  Vote wisely.  Vote for President Obama who offers the option that stabilizes our
economy, both on the large scale and on the scale of every day life of hard working Americans.
It’s our personal economies that drive the nation’s economy.  Without basic healthcare to keep
us healthy enough to work and without protections from out of control medical insurance costs,
our personal economies are forever at risk of financial distaster.  it doesn’t have to be that
way.  Vote for President Obama - the work to fix this is already more than halfway done and he
is the first President to have successfully achieved this.

Resulting in logic like….tax cuts for the rich to reduce (nonexistant) glow bull warming for free

Clarity,  You have obviously never owned a small business.  I gross a little over 200K a year
with my business and when it’s said and done live on around $35,000 after i pay all my taxes, MY
OWN healthcare, expenses, labor Ect. (i pay myself $4,000 a month which i pay taxes on,
Healthcare comes out of the business at $15,000 a year for 4 of us and has went up nearly $2,000
since Obamacare passed.)  I average 70+ hours a week, feed my family of 4, feed 1 other family
and another part timer.  I bust my azz for around $14 an hour and after i pay my taxes i am at
$10 an hour!!!  And Obama wants MORE?????    I have little emotion for some who are supposedly
struggling. I have went through NUMEROUS workers and it seems once they get a nice check you
can’t find them or they can’t get out of bed as they where drinking all weekend.  If you WANT to
work, you can find it. Get a harcut, Take out your disgusting piercings, cover up your ugly
tattoos, Quit partying, doing drugs, Getting DUI’s, FINISH SCHOOL, (not a GED either, Stay in
school!)  Furthur your education, Read a book instead of watching cable UN-Reality shows, ect.
and act like an adult!!  I moved to this valley 4 years ago and have nearly trippled the size of
my business in a supposed “bad economy”  It takes HARD WORK and dedication, Something Liberals
don’t know a whole lot about.  Find something your good at and run with it!  “CAN’T” is not a
word that is allowed here!  My last advice with the current administration is KEEP YOUR
BUSINESS SMALL.  I am making less now than i was 3 years ago due to more taxes and more
regulation and dod noty plan to expand any furthur until we get this business hating government
out of Washington.  Has anyone ever got a job from a poor person?  Why hate on people who are
doing well????

“West Valley”, health insurance is crippling everyone, that is why President Obama is trying to
fix it.  The insurance companies clawed back and raised premiums while they could, knowing what
is coming - reduced mega profits for the greedy health insurance companies.  The President will
finish the job and put insurance companies back in their place while giving everyone a chance to
buy affordable health insurance.  That will take the strain OFF small business.

NEWSWEEK WRITES ABOUT ROMNEY: “The WIMP factor, is he just too insecure to become President?”
That’s the (purposely) provocative question Newsweek asks on its cover. Newsweek seems to define
Romney’s alleged “wimpiness” as a sort of wide-ranging insecurity that forces the Republican
presidential candidate into a series of gaffes like the ones he committed in London late last week.

Writes Newsweek’s Michael Tomasky:
“He’s kind of lame, and he’s really ... annoying. He keeps saying these ... things, these
incredibly off-key things. Then he apologizes immediately—with all the sincerity of a hostage.”

Nobel Laureates Endorse Obama

Among Nobel laureates, President Obama appears to have won by a landslide.

Sixty-eight Nobel Prize winners in the science fields, including the two Americans who won this
year’s chemistry prize, have signed a letter endorsing Mr. Obama over his Republican rival, Mitt
Romney.

“President Obama understands the key role science has played in building a prosperous America,”
the laureates wrote in a letter that was released on Wednesday. Mr. Obama “has championed
investment in science and technology research that is the engine of our economy.”

The signers said that Mr. Romney, by contrast, “supports a budget that, if implemented, would
devastate a long tradition of support for public research and investment in science at a time
when this country’s future depends, as never before, on innovation.”

Clarity, President Obama is not going to “fix” anything in a positive way including Americas health
care, and health premiums.  Seriously, do you know where the money would have to come from for
Obamacare?  The answer is - private sector jobs, and those business owners that hire us!  Rates
will not go down under his plan.  @ Westvalley - I hope everyone read your comments and really
listened to what you have to say.  My spouse was a successful small business owner for 15
years.  The business generated 1.5 million in sales at its peak.  It was never easy, bustin butt 70-
80 hours a week, but at the same time proud to be able to employ some local good hard working
folks.  Sadly, we closed our business down in June.  It got to a point that when your not making a
profit, it is time to say so long.  When the doors closed there were more than a few people heading

Westvalley - Where do you think the $$$$ come from to build the road to your business.  That’s right -
from me and millions of other taxpayers that might never visit your business.  But the roads and the
health care are there to “promote the general welfare.”  Don’t like that phrase - then read the preamble
to the U.S. Constitution.  By building the roads and and helping people obtain health care - the society
benefits as a whole, including the economy.

As for rates not going down under “Obamacare”.  You won’t see anything until the law is fully
implemented in 2014.  There are many reliable economists and people in general that fully expect
rates to come down.  And there are no “death panels”, you can go to any doctor or hospital you want.
You can buy your own insurance.  It’s not going to wreck the economy.  Really it’s not so bad.

The only thing libs are good for is taking what little money hard working people earn and giving it to
lazy entitlement mavens with no inkling of what it takes to earn an honest living - and then, claiming
that those who are “rich” should pay more to support the “poor”.  That is the attitude of a socialist,
not a true defender of liberty.

Liberals honestly believe that the rich should be sanctioned for being successful, claiming that they
would “take” that money from those who have less - in the name of equalization, as if it is a sin to
be rich.

Why should my success go to pay for lazy bums, who have no inclination or motivation to work?  I
have hired people who are willing to work, and made sure that they are paid well, just as other
business people have commented here - and because of my success, now the government
determines that what I already contribute is not enough??

The liberal credo - “I’m not only going to give them my money, I’m going to give them yours too,
because you obviously are not doing enough to help those who are entitled to a better life.”  If the
poor want a better life, they can earn it, just like everybody else!!!

Thanks for helping to destroy our great nation - liberal shortsightedness is well beyond
spectacularly misguided.

Only in the narrow bipartisan minds of liberals exists the idea that everyone who does not follow

further your own ends.  How dare you use those who legitimately gain benefits as tax paying
citizens of this nation to attempt to demonstrate that I accuse those who have earned those
benefits to be lazy bums!  That you even say that, is un American.  It is people like you, that
embrace statism,  that are the real threat to those who cherish liberty

I point the finger at those who do not pull their weight, but you would have others believe that I
accuse just anybody who uses entitlements as lazy.

Evil doer? I submit that it is you and your ilk that are truly evil, attempting to play on sympathies to
garner favor, when it is your kind that destroys lives, destroys small businesses that cannot bear
the brunt of massive overregulation, sends those who have lost their jobs and livelihoods to the
streets looking for work, begging the government for handouts.

And only a liberal would say I suffer from a memory malady.  I say that liberals, including yourself,

And that goes for this beautiful valley of ours.  A new hotel is going up.  Cabela’s is opening a store

I just don’t see all this apocalypse and darkness that many of you say is all around.

I voted for Obama.  For all the above reasons and I think he has done a good job and has held his

And I voted for Tester.  I don’t believe he would get into a boat with a bunch of his drunken friends and

If the norms of discourse of each party constitute a circle, the portion where they overlap is
actually incredibly narrow.  Bipartisanship is therefore the epitome of narrow mindedness.  If the
extent of one’s ideological reach is only across the aisle well, I don’t know.  Don’t run with scissors.

“Bipartisanship” is an American Newspeak word that means “we are going to rake you over the

Every time the right brings up entitlements (which here seems to mean welfare, not earned
benifits) they always point to humans that they believe could succeed if only these people
weren’t so lazy. There is an entire slate of facts that show this idea to be mostly wrong, but that
is not the point of this comment.

How can it be that money spent on reduceing human suffering is wasted whial at the same
time government spending eight times as much on welfare supporting profitable businesses is
overlooked by these watchdogs of our public purse? Because they are only interested in
selective outrage at political opponents… not public spending?

When Bush the lesser doubled the national debt during good times, Cheany the Dick

REV WRIGHT: how can anyone be associated with such a man?  the President got married in
his church and heard what he said about the white race.  If my math is correct..how did he
become president without a lof of white votes?  I know let’s ask Rev. Wright.  OK?

REV WRIGHT: He is on you tube…type in whites are liars-Rev Wright.  Again, I see the people
who voted down..but why.  If Romney’s preacher had said that all blacks were liars….he would
be the worse guy in the world.  It was Romney’s father who walked the civil rights leaders in the
19060’s.  Always a double standard.  Where are YOUR morals??  Do you ever have any?
Good Grief Charlie Brown…I saw the enemy and it was us!!!

Gator, you are what is known as a troll.  You’re not on here to have a conversation, in your
fake anger you are only here to spew nonsense and misinformation and try to anger others.
We only feel extremely sorry for your as you are definately very unhappy with your lot in life.
What have you done for anyone else today?

Mitch:Thanks for your response.  glad someone responded. I guess it all comes down to if
people want to help themselves or have someone or something help them. I think it always
better for people to do what is right.  Yes, there are people who really need it and I think we
should provide help for them. But I don’t see that happening. I work in the medical field and see
what people expect without doing anything or changing their lifestyle. they blame everyone but
themselves.  They want the best treatment for little or no cost. I take care of myself and stay in
good shape…they say I’m lucky..luck had nothing to do with it.  A troll no, but hard on people
who don’t do the right thing…yes..guilty as charged.

AMEN GATOR!!!!  Unfortunately the takers outvoted the makers.  An i as a small business owner
share the brunt of the expense!!  Talking to a gas station owner yesterday he told me people
can use their EBT cards for gas, $3 energy drinks ect!!!!!  HUH???  Isn’t food stamps supposed
to be for FOOD????  Some of these recipients eat better than i do!!!  I’m in line with burger
and they swipe their EBT card for steak!!!!  We need to reign this in and FAST!!!!!!

Gasoline is not a food and cannot be purchased with food stamp/ebt’s. Energy drinks can be
purchased if they have nutritional ingredients. Steak can be purchased, it’s food. The information is
out there for you to find.

Gator, are you seriously saying that you are the sole cause of your own good health?  And that
it’s the same for everyone? What about babies who are born with ill health? Is that their own
fault?  Did your mother receive healthcare when she carried and gave birth to you?  Did you have
health care as a chid that helped you to grow-up strong?  What would have happened to your
mother, and you, if your parents couldn’t afford health care?  Fact is, people are LESS likely
to have a health crisis and MORE likely to take care of themselves when they have access to
affordable healthcare.  People really go downhill and self medicate with unhealthy things when
they are stressed and feel devalued.  Living in poverty without access to proper medical care
makes a person feel devalued.  The current system does that to people.  President Obama is
trying to fix that and create a more balanced system where people have access to the basic care
they and their families need in order to feel like, and function as, valued members of society.
Are there people who will abuse the system? Yes, just like there are now, and these are the
ones you see and the ones you feel are grasping, but these few don’t represent the vast majority
of hard working, but still poor, Americans who desperately need basic affordable healthcare so
their children have a chance at growing up healthy like you. Thank heavens Present Obama got
back in, here’s praying that the Affordable Healthcare program continues successfully.

Clarity:Thanks for your reply.  Let me clarify my stance…yes of course some people are born
with bad genes. And yes as I stated they should be helped. I have no problem with that.
Having said that how many diseases are self-inflicted by the patient?  It is a very high number,
depending on which article you read it is well over 50%.  These are pts I see every day. They
smoke, drink to much, eat to much, no exercise, you get the idea.  Then when they get
something wrong, they will not do the steps to help themselves.  If anyone cannot see that,
then they have blinders on.  Many pts get free medical care along with rx’s and durable medical
equipment at no charge to them.  It is a charge to me and others who try to do the right thing.
I grew up on a farm my parents did not own the were working hands or a slave to the owner.
My dad made the decision to better himself and he did and working his way up the ladder at
Farm Bureau Ins.  We he retired he was VP in Gainesville, FL.  So he taught his 3 sons a
lesson. We all were very successful.  I think any parent wants their kids to have it better than
them. I do not see the next generations doing this, only having excuses for not doing the right
thing. If peope cannot see this, then lord help us all.

The last days of Romneyland
By NBC’s Garrett Haake
BOSTON—From the moment Mitt Romney stepped off stage Tuesday night, having just delivered a
brief concession speech he wrote only that evening, the massive infrastructure surrounding his
campaign quickly began to disassemble itself.
Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards
linked to the campaign no longer worked.

Gators, I see your perspective and agree with some of the points, but how do people actually
receive free medical care, prescriptions and equipment?  I have never come across that, only
situations where people can’t afford and therefore tragically don’t receive the medical care and
medicines they need. I’ve only heard of one clinic that offers free medical help to people, and
that’s only one evening a week.  Where are people getting free medical care?  I don’t see it.

It is Medicaid and Montana has it.  It is free if you fall in the incomes.  Approx. $1.6 Billion
spent in 2011
http://www.leg.mt.gov/content/Committees/Interim/2011-2012/Children-
Family/Topics/Medicaid Monitoring/jan2012-emdeon-powerpoint.pdf

This also includes pts who show up in ER at hospital and have no money.  We pay. Just think
Montana has low population..other states it is a lot more.  What is the answer…giving more
away will not work.  So it goes…
