He left out of his speech how he is supporting the 8000 earmarks in the 410 billion supplemental package.

He also left out how he is now supporting gun control.  See:  http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=6960824&page=1

When brave sock puppets who hide behind nom de guerre’s, as you have done, hurl personal invectives, it is quite telling.    READ the ABCnews link.  Eric Holder seems to think he is talking for Obama.

We were very encouraged by Obama’s speech. Things could have been better for our economy if Bush had put the war in his budget, and paid for it. I saw Obama on television say, before he was elected, that the second amendment secured the right of private ownership of guns. Since he is a constitutional scholar, and teacher, his word should calm the waters that some people like to roil. My many guns are secure in my home. Besides, who would give up your guns just because government said so.

Obama may be a constitutional scholar, but he is no student of history.  In his speech he said, ““I believe the nation that invented the automobile cannot walk away from it.”

First, an individual, not a nation, invented the automobile.

Second, that person was Karl Benz of Germany, not the US.  He made the first internal combustion auto in 1885.

Back to Mr. Obama’s talk about his stance against earmarks.  He fails to mention that the Omnibus Spending Bill is ladened with them.  He has not said one word against that bill.  So, he is 100% correct that he opposes them where he points while he fails to mention his support in the Omnibus Bill. Shades of ‘ol Slick Willie.

I am not encouraged by someone who uses lawyer dance steps of the lips to evade the truth about earmarks, and flubbs a basic understanding of historical fact.  All he has demonstrated is his ability to read a teleprompter.

You rightwingers are simply amazing….talk about the pot calling the kettle black.  Obama is trying to clean up the absolute mess and destruction caused by the so-called conservatives.  And what a mess it is.  Destruction of the economy for a stolen profit, and shredding the Constitution were Bush’s legacy and NOW you complain because OBAMA is trying to fix the mess you all created.

To use the neo-cons words -  if you don’t love the country and want it to fail go ahead and leave!  Columbia - where your supposed ideals are now in practice should welcome you with open arms!  HYPOCRITES!

You republicans HAVE bankrupted the government. 90% of all the federal debt can be laid directly to the irresponsible spending ways of the republicans.  So your complaining about Obama spending money is like the “boy who cried wolf”—

you have no credibilty left!  Luckily 91% of Americans approved of Obama’s speech - that puts you people firmly in the koolaide drinking fringe…

One of the major contributors to this economic downturn is the housing market fiasco…which was started by the Clinton administration.  Can you deny that mtdon?  I doubt it.

Sorry, hit submit before I was finished.  My point was that I don’t care who you are, you cannot put blame on one party or the other.  Dems and Reps alike have become so corrupt that it’s hard to trust anyone any more.  They all lie, cheat and steal…they just do it differently and behind different rhetoric depending on what party you’re affiliated with.  I’m sick to death about what our government has become.

of course I’ll agree that democrats aren’t perfect but it’s the difference between clinton stealing all the w’s off the computer keyboards(allegedly) and bush handing out 800 billion to his buddies on the way out…..

or we can say—>  the democrats commit petty larceny and the republicans commit grand larceny
By Flyboy on 03-02-09
READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

I’d say it’s a little more complicated than a practical joke involving a computer keyboard…which I think is actually kind of funny.  Anyone that thinks the Bush administration is soley responsible for the mess we’re in right now is quite mistaken.  Keep in mind, I’m not sticking up for one side or the other.  Just saying that the gate has definitely swung both ways.  Blame always seems to lie at the feet of the last person in line.  In this case it’s Bush and I just get tired of the same old Bush bashing when there is plenty of fault to go around.

Even though R.L. was voted first for 2012 GOP presidential support, Mitt Romney got 20% than Ron Paul believe it or not tied Sarah Palin for third at 13% of the votes.

That is great news! Ron Paul is gaining a bigger following, and I am sure it is because of the younger generation. Sorry old folks, but most of you are too set with your ways like mtdon for instance to ever grow your mind outside of your reality. Mtdon, no hard feelings, I am just talking ‘facts’ like the way you worship up the democrats.

1st off- hate to break it to you righties - and i won’ try to explain it to you - it would be a waste of time -  BUT the Dow is NOT the economy!  AND it takes approx 9-12 months for stimulus to work it’s way thru the economy.  So whatever is happening now vis-a-vis the economy is still in the bush crime family’s lap.

i would also say the republican party is in danger of becoming irrelevant….it’s major sources of support are basically: 1. rush limbaugh koolaide drinkers w/ no basis in facts(redundant i know) 2. the southern white racist male(also quit redundant) 3. the uneducated redneck(dang again redundant) 4. the corporate apologist (fascist)  -  great basis for a national party,  NOT!

I do write things about the democrats that I don’ like - just not here -  BUT the demos do go wrong whenever they try to pick up a republican area of expertise - you know like selling out to Big Business and the World Bank and IMF.  Also Clinton and the rubin crowd threw the american worker under the bus w/ nafta and all the other so-called “free Trade” agreements.  free trade agreements are nothing more than handouts to corporate america.  How come Corporate welfare (fascism) isn’t on your rightwingnut radar?  It’s only when something like health care for children or funds for eduction get mentioned that you get all worked up.

If a free trade agreement was truly free it would be 1 paragraph not 10,000 pages. Those 10,000 pages are nothing more than corporate welfare, fixed markets, granting of monopolies and barriers to entry.  AND you republicans call that free trade.  Sorry if I can’t take you serious.

Oh yea - I haven’t read a threat to the personal safety of the President yet today - are you righties off your game today?

From the “Urban Dictionary”

Political Sock Puppet

Used to describe a person who has no original thoughts, opinions, or ideas of his/her own. Instead they regurgitate the “party-line” or talking points of others; usually of their particular political party.

Sock puppets can be seen on FauxNews and on Talk Radio. The GOP will put out its talking points and you can pick out the sock puppets because they will repeat the talking points; usually words for word.

Sock puppets can be seen among the Democrats and Left as well typically among young liberals who have adopted liberal bias without actually thinking. These specimens exist but are far more uncommon than amoung the Republicans, conservatives, christians and other right-wingers. Whose sock puppets cover the entire spectrum, as right-wingers are more likely to accept things on faith alone. Because if their leaders say its true, then it has to be true.

1. Get a clue! You’re Dubya’s sock puppet.
2. Limbaugh is a GOP sock puppet.
3. Look you sock puppet if I wanted to hear from you I’d turn on FauxNews.
4. “It’s Clintons fault.”
5. The GOP speaks and the mouths of a thousand political sock puppets move.

Examples of people who are Political Sock Puppets are
Rush Limbaugh
Sean Hannity
Bill O’reilly
George W Bush
Tony Snow
Every “Ditto-head”
Most christians
Almost all conservatives
ALmost all Republicans

Craig baby, you’re nutz:  I love it when people like you show your ignorance with statements like “remember how long the criminals in the previous administration were in power?”  I have yet to see someone like you come up with one thing that Bush did that was “criminal”.  He may made mistakes (as do all presidents) but criminal is a pretty far stretch Speaking of mtdon’s sock puppet definition…you definitely fit that mold.  Stop listening to Rosie O’donnell.  I guess I would expect nothing less from someone like you that can only attack by calling people names and not having anything substantial to back up your claims.  Better behave or your mommy will take away your computer and ground you again.

HEY FLYBOY - ever heard of this certain document that you rightwingnuts hate - called the CONSTITUTION?

ILLEGAL ACTS OF THE BUSH CRIME FAMILY

1. torturing
2. SPYING ON AMERICANS - illegal wiretapping and the collection of EVERY email sent thru US servers.
3. LYING UNDER OATH
4. APPROVAL OF THE ENRON SCAM
5. NO BID CONTRACTS HANDED OUT TO POLITICAL CRONIES
6.lying to get us in an illegal war
7.  disappearance of 10 billion in cash in iraq
8. writing a signing statement claiming the USA isn’t covered by posse comitatus
9.  Claiming that the other branches of gov don’t have the right to question them.
10. how about trying to get Attorney General(john ashcroft) to sign an illegal approval of torturing from his hospital bed in the middle of the night - he had already said no way but the bushies thought that since he was on moriphine and non-coherent they could talk him into it.

the list goes on and on…....in fact Dennis Kucinich read a 145 count list of criminal actions by the bushies into the congressional record….at least in the future Historians will be able to recount the criminal acts by the bush crime family.

For criminy sakes FLYBOY pull your head out of the sand and quit being a socket puppet (you define the saying by your last idiotic post)  ie apologist for the criminal acts of the previous administration.

The market down again today -281 pts.

See Jim Cramer’s thoughts on this crisis : http://www.mainstreet.com/article/moneyinvesting/news/cramer-my-response-white-house?page=1

The mad march towards govt owning and tightly controlling the means to production with trillions of dollars in wasted effort while demonizing wealth creation is not the answer. Obama had all of 2008 to make up his mind if he were the leader with the ideas to propel our country forward. He took the job with full knowledge of these challenges. His policies are being repudiated with emphasis. As the fictional Master Yoda said, “Do or do not… there is no try.” So how do we fairly measure his failure to arrest this trend? How do we correctly measure his hubris and arrogance to change course with full knowledge of his failure?
