Tell me where it states in the constitution that you have the right to have “Freedom From Religion” ? I understand it to mean the gov’t shall not endorse any specific religion. What if there
where religious symbols from 20 other religions there ?
You also the full rigth to not look at the statue if you chose. What are asking the gov’t to do is
protect you from the world and any religion.
How does this certain statue constitute use of tax dollers or endorsement of a religion ? I
understand that the K of C is paying for the use and maintenance of this area. Allowing it to stand
does not imply endorsement. No more than having cattle graze on public land endorses eating
beef.

Oh, joy…more taxpayer dollars being spent for a worthless circle jerk, to benefit a minority of folks that don’t believe in God.
By Montana Heathen on 02-09-12
I find it incredible that Christians, and in this case Catholics in particular, want to have it both ways. First, they want to violate the First Amendment to the Constitution, by keeping the statue where it
doesn’t belong. Now they are claiming the Obama administration is violating THEIR First Amendment
rights, by mandating contraception coverage for health insurance they offer. Which is it? Do you want
government and religion to mix, or not?
By greenriverkate on 02-09-12
Sorry but the Obama admin is NOT violating anyones rights. Catholics KNOW not to take birth control and they have the right NOT to do it. All this did was open the door to non catholic
employees to get birth control. Where does that bind up catholics. Yes, am catholic and PRO
choice. No I could never get an abortion (upholding the catholic belief) but I don’t have the right to
make decisions for non catholics. The church wonders WHY they are losing people, this is why.
WE are not God nor do we have the right to judge. Read your bible. Hate the sin, not the sinner.
Love thy neighbor as they self. Judge not lest ye be judged. We catholics are to follow the church
and that is it. We are not to be God for everyone else!

As someone recently said in regards to this group…“Sue ‘em back.” It’s time we sue these idiots in return. Enough is enough.
By Mark W. on 02-09-12
Actually the reason the Catholic Church is losing members is because, as you so well illustrate greenriverkate, they don’t stand for squat anymore. This is a step in the right direction. Start
excommunicating pro-choicers like Kerry and Pelosi, as well as pro-birth controllers like
greenriverkate, and people will flock back to the Church. Sure, you can believe and do whatever
you want. But to do so while calling yourself Catholic ought to get you burned at the stake. Bring
on the Inquisitors.

Might want to check out the late 2010 10th circuit court of appeals decision about crosses along highways in Utah and the supreme courts decision concerning that. National forest is going to have an
extremely hard time overcoming precedent on this issue.

A comment from another paper:
OK, here’s what really happened: A Creator, THE Creator, did not become a creator until He, a
male creator, created the universe in six days. On one of the nearly one trillion planets
created, this male creator, created a garden. He put fossils in the ground to fake us out, he
created the light from the stars even a million light years away to shine in our night sky. He
created plants before he created the light needed to grow them. He made a man out of dirt. He
made a woman from the body part of the man. He made two magic trees. One of the magic trees bore
fruit that, when eaten by humans, endowed them with the knowledge of good and evil. He forbid
the humans to gain that knowledge. Not knowing good from evil, the humans were created very
naive and were subsequently persuaded by a snake with legs, also another male creation of the
male Creator, to do evil, and eat the fruit. Well, the male creator didn’t see that coming; he
got so angry he made them some clothes and threw them out of the garden. He also took the
snake’s legs away.
Then, 4000 years later, after the male Creator set down Ten Commandments for the people to
follow upon pain of death, after he got angry again and covered the earth with water, after he
killed around 2 million people (men, women, and babies), this male creator had a male angel
impregnate a married virgin who lived in the desert among illiterates. The virgin gave birth to
the male Creator who wandered about the desert, homeless, jobless, preaching about good behavior
(further instruction on good vs. evil), and talking about himself in the third person.
One of the immutable laws of the physical universe the male Creator set in place was that in
order for mankind’s sins, past and future, to be forgiven, the male Creator had to appease
himself by becoming a human sacrifice. This was done by the Jews as prophesied in the first part
of the book the male Creator had written for the Jews. The second part of the book was written
decades after the male Creator rose from the dead and went back to the sky. The second book
allows for a believer in the zombie male Creator to communicate with the zombie male Creator by
mental telepathy, and allows only said believers eternal life in the sky.
Today, in order to feel special and imagine that the zombie male Creator will be pleased, many
people insist that graven images (forbidden by the zombie male Creator’s Ten Commandments) must
be placed on federal property (which is also forbidden by the very Constitution these same folks
are willing to die for).
Placing a graven image on federal land opposes the pre-zombie angel-baby male Creator’s ruling
of ‘Render to Caesar, the things that are Caesar’s, and to the zombie male Creator, the things
that are the pre-zombie male Creator’s.”

Why would you post that unless you agree with it? Are you impaired?

Let’s file suit to have the Wisconsin group removed.
By It~Is~What~It~Is on 02-10-12
All I can say is this: I am a Christian so my view is it is okay to have it there…..but then I rethink it…and if I am a Christian and I am supposed to do unto others….if this bothers
some….then remove it….turn the other cheek. It doesn’t make a difference to me because it is
just a thing….a statue….created by man.
I can also understand that Christians get upset with the church and state topic….they do not
like government to be involved in religion….and they feel that if we bend on these little
things….like a statue that has been there for years…..that so much will happen after that…but, I
say….bend because OUR GOD IS SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL THAN A PHYSICAL
STATUE ON A MOUNTAIN and WAY MORE POWERFUL THAN SOME WISCONSIN
GROUP.
We should focus on our failing economy and not the little things that distract and cost time and
money. I mean…how long do you think other countries will put money into our country and bail
us out??? Okay….sorry….I am off on another topic. Be well and do unto others as you would
want done to you. Jenny
By greenriverkate on 02-10-12
I agree Jenny. It is just that others are always wanting everyone to think their way, no matter what. I have nothing against any church, statue or whatever. This one has been there for some time.
Man, you have a point about the economy and jobs.
Back in the day, many things were put up for REASONS. Especially in Montana. People today
have no idea of the reasons for something so take offense. In my view, DON’T look at it if it
bothers you. Wisconsin should stick to it’s state and leave others alone. Just kind common
sense. If they are “imports” than they can go home if it bothers them so much.
By It~Is~What~It~Is on 02-10-12
.....and the funny thing is….that I was born and raised in the same town in Wisconsin my whole life until I was 18…...I love Wisconsin…especially my Green Bay Packers and I have nothing
against Wisconsin…..it is just people sometimes and their views…don’t concern yourself with
other states if you don’t live there….maybe Wisconsin should look more into the abuse of
Economic Services and worry about what their govenor is doing than worrying about a statue
in Montana….yes it is just a statue to me…..not the real macoy….....I think it is a RARE gift to
leave things unsaid if they don’t benefit the whole. Just my personal opinion….sometimes it
is best to leave sleeping dogs…...yah know what I mean ?
By mooseberryinn on 02-11-12
Actually, if we really need to file a suit, it should be to remove King obama from office. he’s really getting more arrogant every day with he’s decrees from his lofty whitehouse throne.
By Becket on 02-13-12
We should be talking about more business and jobs as supporting our local businesses instead this tripe
