We exterminated them.  Re-introduced them.  Now we have hunted them.  Another really intelligent showing for FWP!

Yep, at least the official government sanctioned wolf slaughter is now over, but the poachers and wolf haters won’t stop killing them every chance they get.  Sad.

very sad indeed!  At least now we can call and report them.  The penalty, of course, isn’t nearly enough, but at least it’s something.

Yes Littlehawk, we certainly can’t have more than 500 wolves running wild in the great northwest.  But we can have over 14,000 hunters right?  Now there’s a balance for ya!!! How about ending hunting permanently for the poacher and confiscate all his guns!!!  Maybe that would work but probably not, since there are too many of you out there!  Thank you Firebeam and others, you are sooooo right!

that’s about right for a start CJ.  We take their gun(s), license’s (forever) and the big bad truck they rode in on.  Maybe level a big fine on them also, and I liked the post where someone suggested tattooing them with the word “poacher”.  There is nothing more disgusting as those who prey on the innocent.

Mitch just wanted you too know that I voted no on the “success”. I do not think there should be a hunt at all. If I had my way they would not even be here so there would not even be a reason to shoot them.

I agree Kokanee! I dont have a problem with the wolf, however WE ALL must understand that if we are going to re-intro the wolf population….then hunting them to control their population is a MUST..if we dont….These “cute dogs” would be eating your livestock,cats,dogs,deer,elk and even mitch!

Come on boys (literally) who do you think drove the wolf to extinction in the Northwest anyway, US?  Yeah right.  They would not have to had been re-introduced had you not killed them off in the first place.  I hope, as “conservationists” that you say you are you will take the time to look at this site and learn something:

You can say the same thing about gut piles and bones left by hunters grasping for anything just to alleviate your guilt by bringing them back,just to have them shot. We did fine without them we will be better off when they are gone. You guys go ahead and get a big “whine” party together I will send the cheese. If your gonna fight this then I am going the other way KILL THEM ALL we tried to coexist you do not want that fine. Guess we will do what has to be done.

Careful Kok, that might make too much sense for these folks to grasp.  They might make that connection if any of them actually go in the woods “and learn something”.
