Sigh…please report the whole truth about brucellosis.  It is a zoonotic disease, and in humans is called Undulant Fever.  We did not do a world wide campaign against a disease that ‘makes a few cows abort.’  Minimizing the impact of a disease that causes symptoms similar to malaria is irresponsible.  Some people do not realize that the disease can be contracted from the milk, cheese, or saliva of infected animals, as well as inhalation of the bacteria.

If you’re not reporting the very real possibility of human exposure to this terrible disease because it might make tourists avoid the diseased buffalo you are irresponsible journalists.

The buffalo need to be managed, just like every other herd of animal.  If there’s a vaccine and it isn’t used, the group preventing that use should be sued for everything they’ve got.  Even if they are a non profit, the corporate veil can be pierced.
