The governor should not be pressuring anyone making a report to the legislature.  His intimidation to
get his way has to stop.  It’s going to be a good day when he is no longer able to use his office to
throw temper tantrums like the thinly veiled threat he made to the university.  Disclosures were made
during the presentation.  The formal report just needs to be footnoted before being filed for the record.
Everyone should be treated fairly.

The professor may say:  “I believe professors ought to be able to criticize the
government.”  But she should have been professional and “properly disclose she was
being paid by a cable company that wants to lower its property taxes by persuading
lawmakers to change how the state Revenue Department values property, the president
of the University of Montana said.”
