Every year the city beach in Whitefish is filled with scantily clad penguins who brave the freezing waters of Whitefish Lake to raise money for the Special Olympics of Montana. The colorful characters bounce from ice to water to hot tub in what is becoming a favorite pastime at the Whitefish Winter Carnival.
