Among the highlights during the 2009 "Creating New Paths" Montana Library Association Conference was the Montana Book Award reception at the Flathead County Library. "Saving Homewaters" by Gordon Sullivan, "Montana: Stories of the Land" by Krys Holmes, "Freeman Walker" by David Allen Cates and "Requiem for Locusts" by Wendy Parciak won the honorary awards while "Full-Court Quest," by Linda Peavy and Ursula Smith, won the Montana 2008 Book Award.
