Brie Webber loves structure.

At school, from her locker to her binders, everything has its place – creating a kind of functional, aesthetic beauty in organization, just like ballet.

Braves off to 6-0 start

Flathead Basketball Living up to the Hype

So far, they’ve lived up to the hype.

The Flathead Braves’ boys basketball team entered this season with what coach Fred Febach thought could be the best team he’s had in his five years at the helm. After a 6-0 start, including wins in their first two Class AA games, the Braves have done nothing to dispel that notion.

High School Swimmers Practice Before Dawn Year-Round

Sunrise is still an hour away, but for 25 swimmers from Glacier and Flathead high schools, practice is already over. It’s freezing outside and a full day of school awaits them.

“They come here at 5:45,” coach Paul Stelter said, “get into a swimsuit and jump into a cold pool – with the workload they have, it’s amazing.”

After placing third in last year’s Class AA state tournament, the Flathead High School girls basketball team not only has nine seniors on this year’s roster, but the Bravettes also have their two all-tournament performers in Meghan O’Connell and Kendalyn Habel back for their senior seasons. Habel was also voted all-state last season and O’Connell was all-conference.

Glacier’s First Season, Flathead’s Best?

Coach Fred Febach has had some good teams in his five years at the helm of Flathead’s boys basketball team. But he thinks this year’s team could be the best.

The Braves lost only three seniors to graduation and two underclassmen to Glacier High School from last year’s 14-10 state tournament team. So this year Braves’ fans should know what to expect: a tournament-savvy, experienced senior class; a rare combination of speed and size; and, of course, Brock Osweiler’s junior year.
