2:26 p.m. A 17-year-old male, who tried to surf on the hood of a car in the Columbia Falls High School parking lot, fell off and was hit by a passing car. Afterward, he was conscious and alert but still taken to the hospital.

Police Blotter: Back on the Street and Robbed at Gunpoint
9:26 a.m. Transients have taken over an abandoned home on Nicholson Drive in Evergreen. There is no running water, working heat, or sewer system. The Health Department thinks it is a health hazard.
2:12 a.m. A man entered through the back door of an Evergreen casino wearing a dark mask and wielding a gun. He then grabbed an employee, shoved her to the ground, and demanded money at gunpoint. Then he locked her in the men’s bathroom and made his getaway. Authorities believe the man is between 6’1”- 6’3” tall and of a medium build.

8:16 p.m. A boat fell on a man and pinned his legs. Luckily, though, for the Lake Hills Lane resident, his neighbors were able to move the boat. It was not in the water.
10:11 p.m. A 29-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He joined his brother who has been in the slammer for a while–he violated the terms of his probation.

Police Blotter: Stolen Property and Brought Back to Life
4:36 p.m. An inmate at the Flathead County Justice Center in Kalispell reported the theft of a personal item. It’s not certain what was stolen; inmates are only allowed a few personal items, such as: a toothbrush, toothpaste, clothes, or perhaps a candy bar.
6:58 p.m. A good Samaritan administered CPR and revived a person on Sixth Street West in Whitefish. The person, who initially had no pulse, declined to be transported to the hospital.

Police Blotter: Immeasurable Loss and Man Nearly Shoots Neighbor
10:18 a.m. Someone reported the theft of an unspecified amount of dirt from property on Browns Meadow Road.
10:36 p.m. A man, who was showing his .30-.06 rifle to his girlfriend in his Cobbler Way apartment, accidentally discharged the weapon, shooting a bullet through his ceiling; the floor of his neighbor, whom the bullet narrowly missed; and then through the building’s roof. The man said he had checked the gun, stating that it was empty. But when a deputy examined the weapon, one spent shell was found in the chamber, and five more live rounds were ready to fire.
