What is a "news feed"? A news feed (also known as an RSS feed) is a way to keep up with new information available on your favorite web sites without having to actually visit those sites all the time. Using a "feed reader," you can see all the news from your favorite web sites all in one personalized and customized place. Feeds make your online info-gathering experience much faster and more convenient.
Where do you get a "feed reader"? There are may different types of feed readers. The most convenient for those new to news feeds are the Web-based feed readers offered by companies like Google and Yahoo! Clicking on one of the following buttons will automatically add the Flathead Beacon feed to either your My Google or My Yahoo! home pages.
More sophisticated feed reader options are available from companies like NewsGator, Bloglines, and Rojo.
To subscribe to a news feed in most feed readers, you simply need the address of a site's feed. The Flathead Beacon's feed address is http://feeds.feedburner.com/flatheadbeacon. Copy this address and paste it into your feed reader to subscribe to our feeds.
